Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D/NY) has always had an unwarrantedly high opinion of herself. She did win the role to run for Congress and that is a high mark in her favor. She is telegenic (to some) and active on social media. She threatened Border Czar Tom Homan because threatening is part of her shtick. Now, he is “waiting on the consequence”. But she is a paper tiger who folds at the first pushback. She is a coward.
Confirmed: @AOC is a raging coward who can insult and defame American citizens, but can’t engage in discourse with @libsoftiktok. Classic. And predictable. @AOCoward pic.twitter.com/01MNhDNi3a

This started most recently because of the contretemps at the Delaney Hall Detention Facility, which our Deana told you about:
Absolutely nothing says “I care about my constituents” like rushing to defend illegal alien criminals. On Friday, three U.S. representatives, plus the mayor of Newark, showed up at the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility located in Newark, New Jersey. Apparently, the mayor, Ras Baraka, has been actively opposed to the opening of the facility (which just opened up this last Tuesday). When a bus entered the gates of the facility on Friday, Baraka and the three representatives rushed inside. The three congressional members – Robert Menendez Jr., LaMonica McIver, and Bonnie Watson Coleman, all Democrats from New Jersey – claimed that they were there in order to conduct “oversight” of the federal facility, even though DHS says they had not arranged any kind of tour beforehand – and assaulted ICE agents during their little bum rush.
Now if you have followed this at all, you know that Mayor Ras Baracka worked with Homeland Security and was not charged. He had no oversight authority and no business being there. The other three, Menendez, Jr., Bonnie Watson Coleman and LaMonica McIver, as Congresscritters do have legitimate oversight responsibility. They should behave in a professional manner and not lay hands on law enforcement. Menendez, Jr. and Watson Coleman also were not charged. But AOC had already warned Tom Homan and Department of Homeland Security Secretary that there would be “consequences” for charging a Congresscritter.
AOC needs to watch her piehole and read the law:
WOW — AOC is now threatening federal immigration officials who go after Democrat members of Congress who break the law:
"You lay a finger on them, we are going to have a problem."

Actually, Jason Crow warned Homan and Noem about this law. Reposted here for your edification:
During a site visit by three Members of Congress – Representatives Bonnie Watson Coleman, Rob Menendez, and LaMonica McIver – Newark Mayor Ras Baraka waited outside in a fenced-in parking lot as protestors gathered on the other side of the fence. He was told to leave the fenced-in part of the parking lot and, despite complying with the request, was arrested by ICE agents. Subsequently, a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson indicated that arrests of the attending Members of Congress are, “on the table,” alleging that one of them “body-slammed” an ICE officer – a claim uncorroborated by witnesses or available video evidence.
Members of Congress possess explicit statutory authority to conduct unannounced oversight visits to facilities operated by or for the Department of Homeland Security. This was outlined in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020 (Public Law 116-93), Division D – Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2020, Sec. 532 and re-affirmed in each year since, including Section 527(a) of the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2024 (Public Law 118–47), which stipulates:
None of the funds appropriated or otherwise made available to the Department of Homeland Security by this Act may be used to prevent…a Member of Congress…from entering, for the purpose of conducting oversight, any facility operated by or for the Department of Homeland
Security used to detain or otherwise house aliens… [nor] to make any temporary modification at any such facility that in any way alters what is observed by a visiting Member of Congress… compared to what would be observed in the absence of such modification.
Furthermore, subsection (b) clarifies that nothing in this section requires a Member of Congress to provide prior notice of intent to enter such a facility for oversight purposes. The Department itself has affirmed the oversight duties of Members of Congress in guidance posted by ICE dated to February 2025. Arresting Members of Congress for performing their lawful oversight duties cannot be “on the table” because that action would be explicitly unlawful.
We anticipate your prompt confirmation that clarifying direction has been given by May 17, 2025.
Now, I read that a ton of times and I don’t see where Representative LaMonica McIver has the right to insult and assault agents as part of her Oversight responsibilities.
AOC is lucky she is in a dark blue District. She is really not known as a legislator.
Tom Homan is a man of action and he remembers what AOC said and now he is “waiting on the consequences”.
Cue the cheering and stomping for Tom Homan. The Daily Wire transcribed the comment so that we could read it over and over:
“Remember, just a couple weeks ago, AOC went on social media saying if we put a finger on any of her co-workers — Congresspeople that were at our Newark facility, there would be consequences. Well, guess what? We did it. I’m waiting on the consequences,” Homan said.
Oh that is beautiful.
