Turkey Denies Helping US In Fight Against ISIS

It seems that the PINO, Mr. “I Got Osama Bin Laden” has forgotten that perhaps, in the area of foreign policy, some things are better left unsaid.

The latest row concerns the key question of whether Turkey, which hosts a sprawling American air base, will let U.S. warcraft fly from it into Iraq and Syria to batter the militant group. U.S. officials said Sunday that Ankara had given the green light. Less than a day later, Turkish officials categorically denied that they’d agreed to allow their bases to be used against the terror group.

Seems the PINO, in his eagerness to talk about what a consummate foreign policy expert he is in bringing together a coalition of folks dedicated to killing ISIS, has gotten his cart ahead of his horse.  I know he is very eager to silence his critics, but he has forgotten (or more likely, never learned) that even after you have some diplomatic exchanges and everyone is smiling around a large mahogany table that afterward, sometimes much afterward, the leaders of the country still have to live there.  And govern there.

Sometimes, when the neighbors complain about the meth house on the block, they would just like the cops that show up to arrest everyone to leave their name out of it.

It is becoming evident that the wages of the political sin of being wishy-washy, untrustworthy, and drawing redlines with deadlines and timelines (which are subsequently, modified, ignored or denied) are coming due.  Like your power bill for the global warming summer showing up in September, all while the temps are still unseasonably warm.  King Barack hasn’t gotten everyone on board yet either.  Barack the Coalition Builder isn’t.

Last month, Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar said his government “opposed terrorism,” but expressed annoyance that his country was included in the U.S. government’s official list of anti-ISIS partners without being informed.

“I am bothered by the fact that we have been placed on the list without the government’s knowledge,” he said. “We will have to voice some sort of protest; it is not appropriate to consent to our country being placed anywhere without our knowledge and consensus.”

That sounds like a whole pile of “I never said I would double date with your geeky cousin.”  Working out the terms of something more complicated than a blind date is probably important to the leaders of the nations you want to involve, instead of making the assumption that they are on board, just because they say they are “opposed to terrorism.

We have “friends” in the world acting like this when asked about these diplomatic exchanges because the PINO is just that, and has surrounded himself with the weakest and most inexperienced people in world affairs; who view the greatest threats to our way of life and country to be climate change. When the media use words like “annoyance,” everyone knows that they mean “Wow! That dude was pissed off that he wasn’t consulted.”  Just because you put them down for a box of cookies Barack, doesn’t mean that they want to be part of your girl scout troop.

The world isn’t as enamored with FauxKing Barack Obama as he is, and they are acting like it.  Call it self interest or call it messiah burnout, but they have seen the emperor, and he has no clothes…

Or foreign policy experience….  Or leadership skills…

And the world is suffering for it.  Our enemies know it, they are exploiting it, and Barack and his band of hopeful misfits wants to just keep on hoping that the dumb people will keep checking the box for anyone with a “D” next to their name, so they can stay just a little longer.

Hashtag diplomacy is a poor substitute for real diplomacy and red lines and deadlines are worthless without credibility.

Presidentin’ is hard, and it is even harder when you show yourself to be who you really are.

Sure am clad we have SMART diplomacy. Can’t imagine what would happen if we had either the box-of-rocks-dumb or malevolent kind.

As I recall, More-and-more Quite Daffy was also “anti-terrorist” but that was more focused on the terrorists within Libya, threatening his rule, but he had far fewer objections when it came to supporting terrorists attacking other folks.

These smartest people in the room are stunning in their delusional world view.

Community organizing only goes so far-when you try to organize a community of nations with different agendas things are a whole lot different. Nobody tell Barack that though-we wouldn’t want to break the trance of greatness he keeps operating in.

Not too dissimilar than the hubris exhibited by each starry-eyed and full-of-themselves generation that announces that, sure, everywhere else it’s been tried it’s failed, but WE are going to make socialism a stunning success! (Because we are the ones we’ve been waiting for? Hmm..)

Keep on trying to herd and organize a planet-full of cats. As entertaining as it sometimes is in the abstract, it would be much more fun to watch if the results were not so scary.

It really is astounding how socialism always ends up being the same old failure no matter what country tries it and thinks it can improve it, isn’t it?
