Poor George Will. The Never Trumper Will has an article in today’s “Washington Post” calling Donald Trump everything but a child of God. George will calls Trump “sad, embarrassing.” Too bad he doesn’t live up to whatever standard that Will is holding him to. George Will has become sad and embarrassing himself.
Look, we all get it. Donald Trump could not possibly be everyone’s cup of tea. He is a native vulgarian. He is brash. The hysterics in the media blow everything out of proportion. Check this out from the Will article today:
America’s child president had a play date with a KGB alumnus, who surely enjoyed providing day care. It was a useful, because illuminating, event: Now we shall see how many Republicans retain a capacity for embarrassment.
After having Bill Clinton and Barack Obama as presidents of the United States, George Will wants to call Donald Trump a “child.” And then there is this:
Precision is not part of Trump’s repertoire: He speaks English as though it is a second language that he learned from someone who learned English last week. So, it is usually difficult to sift meanings from Trump’s word salads. But in Helsinki he was, for him, crystal clear about feeling no allegiance to the intelligence institutions that work at his direction and under leaders he chose.
Um, can you blame Trump for worrying about the intelligence institution who have been actively working to undermine his administration? One could argue that Trump trusts the average information collector and analyst. Not the people at the top. I know I don’t trust them and they are not trying to nail my hide to the wall.
George Will heaps praise among those in the Senate actively working to undermine the President of the United States, like John (Bitter) McCain and Jeff (he is a) Flake. From the article:
… this on Monday from McCain, still vinegary: “Today’s press conference in Helsinki was one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory.” Or this from Arizona’s other senator, Jeff Flake (R): “I never thought I would see the day when our American president would stand on the stage with the Russian President and place blame on the United States for Russian aggression.” Blame America only.
Maybe Putin did eat Trump’s lunch at the Helsinki Summit. I am not smart about these things. I do know that Steve Mnuchin, the Secretary of the Treasury under Donald Trump, knows all about banking and money trails. Maybe, just maybe Mnuchin has told Trump where Vladimir keeps all the money he looted from the Russian people. Talk about your Kompromat. Embarrassing.
Trump’s explanation of his garbled message is as bad as the original garble:
What is more embarrassing is people like George Will, who should maybe retire, being sad and embarrassing as a Never Trumper.
When commie voting John Brennan heads the CIA, yeah, I have a healthy skepticism of it.
“Maybe, just maybe Mnuchin has told Trump where Vladimir keeps all the money he looted from the Russian People.” Yeah, and maybe pigs will grow wings and fly this afternoon. It could happen.
Trump gets up early on four hours of sleep and gets things done, what do these hot air spewing navel gazer pundits do besides talk?
What if Putin has the goods on everybody in the swamp did anyone ever think of that?
