Trump and protesters

Donald Trump was in Worcester Massachusetts for a campaign rally yesterday and was greeted by a crowd of rowdy supporters and a few protesters. The protesters were escorted out and that should be the end of discussion, right? No. The candidate instead of discussing his ideas, recent events or even the weather decided to mock one of the protesters. Not for the reason the guy was protesting but for his weight. Seriously? Sadly, ABC News reports

The rally was interrupted a total of three times tonight, once when a group held up a banner that read “Migrant Lives Matter,” and the second when a man had to be pulled out of the venue by security, shouting “Trump’s a racist, Trump’s a racist” all the while.

And the response of the man who wants to be the president of the United States to the protesters was:

“You know it’s amazing, I mentioned food stamps at that guy who’s seriously overweight went crazy — Amazing. Amazing,” Trump told the audience in Worcester, Mass. “That’s an amazing sight.”

Not a word about a plan to get people off public assistance, just ‘look at the fat guy.’ And making fun of his opponents in the best middle school fashion. First Jeb Bush:

“I don’t want to waste a lot of time on him because it’s over. It’s over,” Trump said of Bush, who he’s described as “low-energy.” “And you know what I think he’s a nice person. Who cares? Who cares?”

And he went after Marco Rubio:

Trump took particular issue with Rubio for having missed Senate briefings on the Paris attack today while he was fundraising in California.

Because he could not get the information from his staff or from his colleagues? Or an email?

“They’re getting ready for Homeland Security issues and votes, and he’s in California. What is he doing? He’s raising money, always money with these politicians. Money, money, money,” Trump said. “I am self funding, I don’t need to raise any money.”

If he has some actual tangible ideas and not just soundbites it might be nice to hear them about now. Otherwise it seems to me that Trump is nothing more than the rodeo clown.

Umm, some of us like the middle-school rants and insults. People on food stamps need to be shamed, most especially fat people on food stamps. Good for Donald Trump!

I like Marco, Carly, Christie and Ben. But it’s stuff like this that makes me stick with Trump. Stop the PC madness!!

So your idea of “conservative” is the very thing we were taught not to do in middle school/jr high? That is unfortunate.

It’s called having a sense of humor, obviously something a lot of people lack these days. When you have an election that goes on for more than 2 years you are going to get rallies that have a lot of fluff. If you want specifics go to his website and read them. If you want more, read the books that he wrote. In other words, do the work and do your own research.
Please don’t become like the BLM clowns and other progressive useful idiots, crying that everything is offensive or an insult to (insert offended group here).

Maybe I am expecting an adult who is campaigning for a seriously important position on the national and international stage to act better than a seventh grade girl. And addressing the issue the heckler is acting the fool about is sort of impressive. And being a decent human being surely is not that hard to do?

I’ve taken a lot of heat on right wing blogs because I don’t think Trump is the Conservative savior. I see a lot of parallels between Obama’s first campaign and Trump’s current one, with voters projecting their hopes onto an untested candidate – but it doesn’t matter because we’re past the point of no return. Keep your head low and ammo up, trouble’s coming.

My feelings exactly. I do find it really sad when someone who spent the last six and a half years talking about Obama goes and follows adoringly a candidate just like Obama. Except for Barack being more faithful to Michelle than Donald was to any of his women. Or he was more discreet.
