The genius of Harry Reid

The genius of Harry Reid

This weekend, Harry Reid was asked one of the most softball questions a politician can be asked: name the greatest living American. Unfortunately, this was too much of a brain teaser for our Senate Majority Leader, who named Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd, two men who are both, well… dead.

Of course, if Kennedy and Byrd were living, could they still be considered the greatest living Americans? Byrd was a racist and a Klansmen. Kennedy was a drunk and a murderer. Both men spent their lives doing nothing more notable than continuously winning Senate seats in easy elections. Alive or dead, do these men really deserve to be called greatest living Americans? I don’t think so, but apparently Harry Reid does… and also can’t tell the difference between someone who is alive and someone who is dead.

‘I don’t think so, but apparently Harry Reid does… and also can’t tell the difference between someone who is alive and someone who is dead.’ Well, now, don’t give Harry too much trouble about not being able to identify dead people – I mean, he’s been dead for what, now, 10 years? And he STILL doesn’t get it.
