The Democrats Other Joe Bidens

We have to talk about it, the Democrats other Joe Bidens. If slow Joe Biden cannot stand up and be the candidate for some reason, who will step in, and how would all of that work or look?

Since before Robert Hur’s damning report came out about the sympathetic elderly man with a poor memory Joe Biden, everyone in politics and the media was talking about a replacement candidate.

As easy as it is to say it would be Michelle Obama, let’s ignore this for a while. One, it probably won’t happen; there will be no replacement, and two, if there was, she likely wouldn’t be interested.

“I’m sure there are some people in the party who wish Mrs. Obama would run for the presidency, but she’s made it very clear that she has no designs on seeking higher office herself,” one strategist familiar with Biden’s campaign strategy stated.

“This is just some ginned-up conspiracy dreamed up by grifters to spoon-feed to MAGA extremists,” a second strategist added. “There’s just one problem. We live in reality.” – Washington Examiner

The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

We’ll Move On

But just for fun, let’s look at how it would go down if Joe is pushed to step off and appoint a younger version of the old man.

Joe will easily get the votes by letting the primaries play out as is. So, primaries are over, and the convention is next.

However, slow Joe will not accept the nomination. Instead, he would step down of his own will, telling the public some story of wanting to live out the last few years enjoying his family and grandkids or whatever. It will surely be a grand story for the media to climax on.

At that point, the scramble would begin among potential successors. Not long after Biden’s announcement, a spate of private polls testing various candidates in the general election would suddenly be floated to establish different figures’ Trump-slaying credentials. Between June 4 and Aug. 19, when the party’s convention begins in Chicago, senior Democrats would jockey for position to replace Biden in the kind of battle not seen in decades in American politics. – Politico

No idea what they would do with Kamala at that point. The delegates are not emboldened to her. But they still desire that race-baiting game the left always plays. So, the replacement candidate will have to be a minority.

So, would they actually shift the nomination to someone like Gavin Newsom? Who knows. It would not be surprising.

Brian Stelter is trying to make himself relevant with what he said in a recent interview regarding this replacement theory.

I’m gonna have to say that I agree with Brian. Damn. Joe Biden will be the Democrat’s nominee. He will not step aside, even though that would be the only way to get a younger version in his place.

But for the life of me, why do these pundits insist that Joe Biden is the only candidate who can beat Trump? Do they want you to believe he beat Trump fair and square in 2020?

Yeah, old Joey’s not going anywhere. Jill will not allow it.
