When Hillary wasn’t busy walking in the woods, she was taking the time to transfer money from her campaign fund to her personal tax shelter in Delaware.

Hillary Clinton has sent $150,000 in leftover funds from her presidential campaign committee to a limited liability company that was established to manage her book and speaking income, filings show.

Delaware has long been known as a tax haven, and over 250,000 companies use the same address as well.

Just eight days after stepping down as secretary of state in February 2013, Clinton registered ZFS Holdings LLC at CTC’s offices. Bill Clinton set up WJC LLC, a vehicle to collect his consultation fees, at the same address in 2008.

A spokesman for Clinton said: “ZFS was set up when Secretary Clinton left the State Department as an entity to manage her book and speaking income. No federal, state, or local taxes were saved by the Clintons as a result of this structure.”

Kind of interesting given that Hillary stated several times that off-shore tax havens are a perversion of the legal codes.

However, those are the OFF-SHORE tax shelters. Evidently having one in Delaware is ok. Here’s the kicker though, Hillary really and I mean really shouldn’t be sending campaign funds to ZFS Holdings LLC.

Washington Free Beacon’s Joe Shoffstall reports the following:

Payments from Hillary for America, Clinton’s former campaign committee, to ZFS began well after the election was over.

The first transaction from the committee to ZFS was made on May 4, 2017 in the amount of $32,929.28, nearly six months after Trump had defeated Clinton. Each payment from the committee to ZFS was marked as “rent.”

Seven additional payments were made ranging from $9,617.87 to $36,369.39. The most recent payment to ZFS, for $20,822.92, was made on March 15, filings show.

The campaign has pushed $149,456.78 to ZFS Holdings since early May of last year.

Why is this a problem?

Campaigns can continue to run even when a race is finished. In fact some continue to run and accept more donations in hopes of winning the next race (Hillary, don’t get any ideas). A campaign can donate to charities, pay back donors, or move the funds to a PAC such as what Hillary did by moving $800,000 to her Onward Together in May 2017.

However, there are also some VERY strict rules as to what one CANNOT do with the campaign funds.

“The only disbursements allowed for the Clinton or any other losing campaign are for winding down the campaign,” Cleta Mitchell, a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Foley & Lardner LLP, told the Washington Free Beacon. “So the question is whether this is really for rent or whether the payments are to this entity for other types of work for Hillary, which would be personal use if it isn’t specifically tied to the winding down of the campaign.”

“Personal use is illegal under federal campaign finance law,” Mitchell said. “There are a number of questions that need to be answered to ensure that the campaign is using leftover campaign funds for a legally, permissible purpose.”

ZFS Holdings LLC was established to ‘help her manage her personal income.’

So why would she need to use campaign funds for rent money? Answer is, she doesn’t, and in fact until May 2017, not a single ‘rent’ payment was made to ZFS Holdings LLC by Hillary. Hmmmm….

So far, no one from the Clinton camp is responding to any requests for comment. Which isn’t surprising. I would imagine they are scrambling to figure out what is the best explanation to hopefully make this a big ole nothing burger.

Either that or Hillary will blame someone else for her mistake or try to wipe this one off the books like she did with those darned servers.

Will the FEC step up and investigate?

I’m in complete agreement. Will Hillary be held accountable? Given past history it seems doubtful. However, I will point out one thing. Several of her pals who covered for her during her failure of a campaign are no longer in their positions of power, yes I’m looking at you James Comey. So there’s a chance, a slim one, but a chance.
