Mid-afternoon on Halloween Day, a radical Islamic terrorist drove a rented truck onto a bike path in the shadow of the World Trade Center. Given the above set of facts, the rational person would call for an end to lottery diversity immigration, extremely strict vetting of applying immigrants, a slowdown of immigration of followers of the Islamic religion pending a study of the cultural effects, or better spying on what videos immigrants are watching.
You would be rational. That’s why you are not Governor of the state of New York or Mayor of New York City. Given the above facts, Andrew Cuomo, Governor of New York State, and Bill de Blasio, Mayor of New York City have called for stronger gun control. Oh, yes. Yes, they did. Close your mouth.
