NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio rejected calls for the National Guard to be deployed in the city to help quell the violence and looting. The peaceful protests in the wake of the Minneapolis police murder of George Floyd have been overshadowed by the, I believe, paid protesters who are destroying NYC. The police need help, but the National Guard is a no go.
When a scrawny, stray mutt befriended National Guard soldiers from New York while on patrol in Afghanistan, she was quickly adopted as their mascot and named “Sheba”….
