Poking the Russian bear, ISIS has beheaded five Russians accused of spying within ISIS controlled territory. Just last week, a man known as the Russian “Jihadi John” (after a disposed of murderer) executed a fellow Russian citizen. Surprisingly, Russia is third behind Tunisia and Saudi Arabia in citizens to rushing to join ISIS. According to the United Kingdom’s Independent,
New figures released by the New York-based Soufan Group suggested Russians were travelling to join Isis in their droves, with numbers of foreign fighters from the federation and central Asia up three-fold in the past year.
With an estimated 2,400 foreign fighters, Russia was reported to be the third-largest contributor to Isis’s ranks, behind only Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
No wonder Putin takes this so personally. Citizens of his country are fleeing a sucky life to join an even suckier life with ISIS. Yeehaw!
ISIS is a brutal killing machine and Stephen Green at PJ Media speculates that ISIS may have selected a few of their many Russian members to behead for propaganda purposes.
Stephen also echoes what many in the civilized world believe
Either way, it’s clear that somebody is going to have to get serious about killing every single one of these Islamic State fighters, because they’re simply too murderous, too radical, and too ruthless to share this planet with decent people.
Amen! Amen! Amen!
