Mimosa, Bloody Mary, nice flute of champagne — or maybe a favorite tipple in your coffee. Make yourself one and join me at our own Algonquin Round Table, the spirit of Dorothy Parker abides.
Happy Sunday, dear friends! The flutes are chilled, the bacon crispy. Looks to be a gorgeous Sunday after a week of the usual portside tantrums and shenanigans. Can you believe the “BAKE THE CAKE” crowd is still into tossing Republicans out of restaurants? Of course, in that case, the public hissy fit was after the bill was paid and staffers tipped. Bunch of posturing poltroons. So fill up your glass, dears, and pass the plates. Let’s get to it. L’Chaim!

I mean, I’m thankful for her hubris, but really?
Rebecca Bendheim, the author of a YA book for teen readers, posted on social media about deliberately designing the cover art to hide the book’s theme from parents while simultaneously advertising it to children.
“When Penguin [Random House] asked me what I wanted for my cover, I said I wanted it to be gay enough for queer kids and teens to clock it, but for homophobic parents to just think it’s a friendship story,” the author and middle school teacher bragged on Instagram.

Liberals are blaming Trump for the redesigned dime—to mark the nation’s 250th anniversary—when the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee, which advises the Treasury Secretary, voted to approve the new design in October 2024.

I grew up in rural California surrounded by hard-working immigrant farm families from Armenia, India, Japan, and Mexico. Their work ethic, love of America, and productive farms were models for U.S. non-immigrants. Such immigrants explained why the San Joaquin Valley was the most…

Watch out, Gavin.
One of our first stops was Medina Learning Center in San Diego. The facility could not even spell its own name correctly on the sign, reading “Madina Learning Center,” and it sat inside a run-down strip mall. Before we ever knocked, I had already pulled every state inspection report online and even reviewed the six-inch-thick licensing file in person. The records told a disturbing story long before we arrived.
🚨 Here is the full 40 minutes of my crew and I exposing California fraud, Minnesota was big but California is even bigger… We uncovered over $170,000,000 in fraud as these fraudsters live in luxury with no consequences. Like it and share it, the fraud must STOP.

This is called Living Their Faith …
A Florida waitress has served more than 270,000 meals to the homeless, alongside her husband and two vibrant sons who all exemplify their Christian faith.
An immigrant from Barbados, Gloria Vargas, has run the operation since in 2012 largely from her home in Fort Lauderdale.
“I started with buying a little bit of spaghetti and ground beef, and I started with 40 meals,” said the 62-year-old woman. “The next week it went to 60 meals, 80 meals. Before you know it, I was at 200 meals every weekend.”
Her husband is a certified mechanic and donates his skills to helping repair cars for free and driving people to job interviews.
Blessings to this family.

Uh oh. I can’t believe our time together today is already at an end. Do go out and enjoy the rest of your Sunday. It’s now officially Spring! Pray for our troops and our country. See you next week. Cheers!
