Mimosa, Bloody Mary, nice flute of champagne — or maybe a favorite tipple in your coffee. Make yourself one and join me at our own Algonquin Round Table, the spirit of Dorothy Parker abides.
Happy Sunday, dear friends! The whirlwind of January is now behind us and, boy howdy, what a ride! From the last slimy actions of the Biden crime family to the unapologetically America First actions of an invigorating Trump 2.0. Raise your flutes, please, and let’s toast to More Winning. Yet, in the midst of our joy, let’s take a moment to offer up prayers for all those who tragically died in the plane crashes at Reagan National Airport and in Philadelphia and for their families, friends and communities.
Now, pass the plates and help yourself to brunch … why yes, there is lox and bagels, too, among many savory offers for a mid-winter feast. And if the still-in-denial-of-why-they-lost Democrats are any indication, we have months of feasting on their histrionics and impotent shenanigans ahead. Let’s get to it! L’Chaim!

The fire in the Pacific Palisades was still being fought when I first started saying that the housing would never be rebuilt as it was, regardless of Hairgel’s and Bass’s attempts to say differently. Ahem.

Ahem. Ahem.
The city of Los Angeles is planning to hire an outside consultant to handle a significant rebuilding contract for areas devastated by this month’s Palisades fire, Mayor Karen Bass said Monday.
The firm will represent the city’s interests in the wildfire recovery process, including performing damage assessments, monitoring air and water quality, interacting with various federal agencies and ensuring that the city gets as much federal reimbursement as possible, said Steve Soboroff, who was named by Bass as the city’s chief recovery officer.
Were Palisades’ residents consulted? Even informed? Are they to have any voice in the process of rebuilding their own home and neighborhood?
Who’s the Outside Consulting Firm?
LA is hiring a mystery consulting firm to manage the rebuild. But no name has been announced yet.
Who are they?
How were they chosen?
Are they tied to Soboroff or Bass politically?Angelenos deserve transparency on how this money…

That smell wafting from the moonscape that is the Palisades? That’s graft being set up, using both climate change and equity to rebuild according to Left’s fever dreams, screw the property owners.

Legacy media doesn’t get it. They aren’t going to be allowed to do this kind of libel and slander anymore. Yet, the pathetic poltroons keep trying.
There are sea slugs with more sense.

Tar, feathers, some assembly required:
KCBS 740 AM (Audacy–Bay Area) not to be confused with the Los Angeles CBS affiliate – elevated the insane unmasking of ICE agents from the leftist Rapid Response Network, which fights against deportation initiatives during the January 26 edition of KCBS Radio Weekend News.
But to make matters worse, anchor Bret Burkhart gave exact descriptions of the vehicles the ICE agents were reportedly using, including specific locations. NewsNation confirmed January 27 that the agents were conducting an operation in the area around that time, meaning their cover was potentially blown.

Recruiting numbers have tanked over the last several years. Dears, it was a pretty open secret that the Left’s seizing on the American military as a place to do social experimentation in lieu of readiness was a key component to those numbers. Bravo to our new Secretary of Defense and …
Faster, please.

One year ago, Republicans stood before Congress and stated that there was shortage of air, traffic control operators, and that the DEI policies and workshops needed to go. An infant got restless aboard a plane—so a flight attendant offered to hold the little girl while completing her pre-flight preparation.
The adorable baby is seen blowing kisses to passengers as they walk up the aisle.

Kudos to that angel in a flight attendant uniform.

This video was just released last Tuesday. Standing ovation for the deputies who persisted in searching the building.
Newly released body camera footage shows the rescue of a 100-year-old woman at a senior living apartment complex during the Eaton Fire earlier this month.
Bravo!

And here we are again. The first Sunday brunch of February has come to a close. Wrap up warmly and go spend the rest of today with family and friends. See you next week. Cheers!

With the actions being taken by the President and SECDEF I expect that this year Recruiters for all the military services, active, reserves and national guards, will make their recruiting goals by applicants who want to serve something more important than themselves and who are qualified, and start making up the shortfalls due to the previous administration’s social justice policies.
It will also shift resources and time to more important matters.
A great deal of waste generated via those policies and programs.
Good stuff Darleen,
If you don’t mind, I’ll swap out the flute of champagne for a brimming mug of liberal tears… very tasty, and cheap these days, as there’s a glut on the market..
I have a container of Liberal Tears. It’s a gun lube. And it smells like bacon.
(It’s a spray bottle, which is a problem. It really should use a needle applicator, so as not to get in places where you don’t want lube.)
I have the same. I think they have come out with a needle applicator option now
stated that there was shortage of air, traffic control operators,
That first, erroneous comma made me think this was going to be a Global Climate thing. SMH.
And, yes, that baby video is cute. As long as the stewardess was still able to do her job properly. Sweetness is NOT her job at that point, but finishing her pre-flight properly. I will say it looks like she’s doing it, but the video doesn’t show the rest of the pre-flight. Yeah, it’s important and should not be taken lightly.
