Senator Tommy Tuberville For Coach Of The Republican Team

Alabama’s Senior Senator is former Auburn University Football Coach, Tommy Tuberville. Tuberville was Head Coach at Auburn for nine years. In order to coach at Auburn, you have to have bollocks of Tungsten. The Progressive are having five kinds of conniption fits because Tuberville has placed a hold on a couple hundred military promotions over reimbursement for abortion travel in the military. The Fruit Loop Left has gone all in on dead babies if this is what they are holding their breath over. Abortion travel reimbursement?

“I’m pro-life. The thing about it – there’s not just Alabama. There’s other states across the country making these tough decisions. And it’s really not a tough decision. It’s about life or death. We’ve killed 60 million babies in the last 45 years – 60 million. I mean, what the heck is going on? People need to open their eyes and just think a little bit about what we’re doing. We’re supposed to be a civilized country. We’re thinking sometimes that we’ve got all the answers. But we got too much government involvement.”

– Tommy Tuberville

A good coach (football, golf or ballet) lets his players and opponents know who he is and what his objectives are immediately. While I may question Mitch McConnell’s and John Thune’s motives and goals, Tuberville is clear as crystal. He has bollocks of Tungsten. McConnell and Thune have bollocks of cotton candy. McConnell and Thune melt at any resistance.

According to Stars & Stripes, three of the service secretaries are claiming that Tommy Tuberville, puts service members and national security at risk with his holds on promotions. That’s some crust after the pull-out in Kabul. According to Stars & Stripes:

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon’s three service secretaries who oversee the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Space Force on Tuesday condemned the move by freshman Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama to block hundreds of military promotions — an act they say is putting American service members at risk across the globe.
Tuberville, a former football coach who was elected to the Senate in 2020, has been blocking senior promotions over a Pentagon policy that reimburses female service members seeking reproductive care but are stationed in states with strict abortion bans for travel to states without such tough restrictions.
“Three of our five military branches — the Army, Navy and Marine Corps — have no Senate-confirmed service chief in place. Instead, these jobs — and dozens of others across the force — are being performed by acting officials without the full range of legal authorities necessary to make the decisions that will sustain the United States’ military edge,” Army Secretary Christine Wormuth, Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro and Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall wrote in an op-ed for The Washington Post on Tuesday. “Across the services, many generals and admirals are being forced to perform two roles simultaneously.”
“The strain of this double duty places a real and unfair burden on these officers, the organizations they lead and their families,” they continued. “The blanket hold is also exacting a personal toll on those who least deserve it.”
Tuberville began blocking the promotions of flag officers in February, and he’s given no indication whatever that he intends to stop — despite reports of disapproval among some of his congressional Republican colleagues.

Tommy Tuberville is Pro-Life. Using tax dollars to reimburse female service members who drive across state lines to murder their unborn baby seems six kinds of wrong. And, it’s against Federal law. So there’s that. Tuberville needs to stick to his beliefs. This is not a little thing. Let the Progosaurs get all het up over these blocked promotions and their concern for National Security. National Security is a convenient excuse but not their prime aim in the past.

Senator Chuck Schumer quoted SEVEN (7) Defense Secretaries when he excoriated Tuberville over blocking the nominations and holding up promotions:

Do we really want more Diversity, Equity and Inclusion focused senior leaders. Shouldn’t we hold them up and run out the clock before any more damage is done?

And, from The Federalist, here are some of the more egregiously woke officers on hold:

Lt. Gen. Kevin B. Schneider (Air Force), nominated for promotion to general and assignment as next commander of Pacific Air Force, has stated that his objective is for “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) philosophy to become part of the Air Force’s “DNA” in order to identify alleged racism in the military.
Rear Adm. Shoshana Chatfield (Navy), nominated for promotion to vice admiral and assignment as U.S. military representative to the NATO Military Committee, complained that since 80 percent of Congress is men, most of the issues that become laws are only important to men.
Brig. Gen. Elizabeth E. Arledge (Air Force), nominated for promotion to major general, tweeted about woke “intersectionality” theories, condemned “whiteness,” and celebrated leftist Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Col. Benjamin R. Jonsson (Air Force), nominated for promotion to brigadier general, authored an article called: “Dear white colonel … we must address our blind spots around race.” In it, Jonsson claims, “Defensiveness is a predictable response by white people to any discussion of racial injustice.” He says white colonels are “largely blind to institutional racism” and recommends the book White Fragility by prominent critical race theory peddler Robin DiAngelo.

I think our military readiness and National Security are much better off without these officers. Offer them a retirement package and a nice farewell. Bon Voyage.

Senator Tammy Duckworth held up over a thousand promotions over Ukraine fan Alexander Vindman.

I am FINE with Tuberville holding up promotions over abortion and woke politics. Can Coach Tuberville please work with other Senators to strengthen their spines?

since several of my loved ones depend on military leadership, I am always country first. shitty leaders get people killed.

    deep breath

OK, I’m a former Marine so being blunt is in my DNA. The only focus of the military is “Kill people, break things.” The fact you Perfumed Princes of the Pentagon try to focus on anything other than that is putting us at risk. Our military should be focused on those two things to such an extent that our enemies are afraid of even spitting in our direction.

Normal people don’t care about DEI. We aren’t racist and we don’t care about the LGBTOMGWTFBBQ people so long as they don’t go after children. Get back to those two goals and stop worrying about stupid things that aren’t helping us achieve them.

    • Toni Williams says:

Lord help save us from DEI. Shitty leaders get personnel killed.

      • Cameron says:

Unfortunately the higher ups will never admit that. They’ll just rationalize it by saying that those people died because we didn’t have enough diversity and struggle sessions amongst the troops.

  • Liz says:

Some large corporations encourage “diversity, equity, and inclusion training” because it is divisive and discourages employees from cohesion (which is a step toward collective bargaining). It’s a way of breaking trust between people.
This seems pretty self evident but apparently military leadership didn’t get the memo.
Unless they are attempting to sew divisiveness.
