By any objective measure, our Second Lady Usha Vance is lovely, gracious and genius-level. A Yale Law School graduate, who also has a Masters in Philosophy from Oxford, she clerked for Justices Roberts and Kavanaugh. She was a corporate litigator for a prestigious San Francisco law firm. Mrs. Vance exudes calm and beauty. However, she is married to an evil Republican/Vice President so she must be attacked until she succumbs to the pressures of The Elite Life Police.
Salon.com writer Amanda Marcotte is a one-trick mule when it comes to Republican women. The more outstanding the woman is the more the woman gets under Mandy’s skin. Because Amanda Marcotte is devoid of imagination, she attacked the marriage of J.D. and Usha Vance in “Divorce him already, Usha”. Mandy, Mandy, Mandy. The opening paragraphs:
Unlike traditional journalism, social media thrives on speculation and rumor-mongering. It’s unsurprising, then, that comedian Suzanne Lambert created an Instagram reel that went viral in which she questioned the state of Vice President J.D. Vance and his wife Usha‘s marriage. The post alleged the second couple were overheard arguing in a restaurant. A third-hand report from waitstaff at the restaurant, Lambert said, was that the couple was “fighting at dinner.”
“Apparently, Usha said, ‘This is what our life should actually be like,’” Lambert breathlessly claimed. This, she said, confirms that “Usha wants absolutely nothing to do with this” and “J.D. Vance is a little b***h.”
“Their marriage is in trouble and someone needs to tell Jack Schlossberg,” Lambert joked, referencing the famously gossipy, trolling grandson of JFK, who has joked about being in a secret relationship with Usha Vance and that the two are having a son together.
Not every “traditional journalist” thrives on speculation and rumor-mongering, Mandy. Some of them have scruples. Here is that post from Suzanne Lambert:
Wow. That was flat ugly to the bone. And, not funny at all. Lambert should not Insta when she is two glasses in. She should go to bed. Repeating gossip like that is wrong, but these people wouldn’t know right. Did Usha and J.D. disagree in public? Who knows? Were they rude to the waitstaff? Another, who knows? J.D. is a Marine, not a “little b*tch”, b*tch. Jack Schlossberg may be.
According to social media, JD and Usha Vance reportedly had a heated discussion while at dinner that further shows the possible breakdown in their marriage. https://t.co/XDquaW4gcx

Gah!
Next paragraphs from the article:
Most of the time, they do not appear to like each other. Last month, Megan McCain hosted Usha Vance for what should have been the softest of softball interviews, focused on what life as second lady is like. Vance clearly understood her assignment was to make it all seem like a great time — that leaving her career as a high-powered attorney to spend her days doing sub-Melania Trump public appearances about dull topics like the importance of reading for kids. But her acting chops weren’t up to it. Instead, audiences were treated to a one-hour hostage video, as the increasingly desperate McCain tried to get Vance to feign interest in her own life.
(I try to never feel sorry for McCain, but as someone who does YouTube interviews myself, it was hard to not feel her terror, as she slowly realized her guest was an emotional black hole sucking life out of the viewers.)
Despite her mission to convey satisfaction, however, the longer Vance talked, the more miserable she seemed. Despite McCain’s best efforts to talk up how “excited” she is to see a “modern” woman in the role of second lady, Vance ended up talking about how much she missed her old life. “In a dream world, eventually, I’ll be able to live in my home and continue my career,” Vance told McCain, shrugging off questions about whether she wants to be first lady.
Amanda watched video through hate-filled eyes, true fact. I saw a quiet and confident woman measuring every word she spoke. I am not a masochist so I didn’t watch the one hour video. I am not a fan of Meghan McCain. BUT, I did manage to stomach quite a few short clips. Like this:
:
This video, to me, showed a marriage of equals. Usha Vance is exquisite in every clip I watched.
My Dear Husband and I will celebrate our 40th anniversary next year. We haven’t faced the political pressure that J.D. and Usha Vance have faced. We had corporate pressures, a lot of moves, and a lot of travel. Any given screenshot of our marriage may have looked glum, but we have always been in love.
Amanda Marcotte and the rest of the chattering class don’t know anything.

Wow. That has never happened with me and I’ve been married for 23 years as of next month. woah. What’s next? They disagree on something?!
When people with joyless lives tell you, in a critique of a power couple who have enviable individual accomplishments and an amazing married life of cooperative accomplishments, the greatest of which are three adorable children ; that they are joyless, vile ,hateful harridans, believe them. Believe them and watch their corrosive hatred destroy themselves. And, if you happen to be a cynical observer of these kinds of people, revel as they slowly disappear into anonymity.
Maybe Mandy would feel better if they had as solid and loving a marriage as those other two Yale Law School classmates — Bill and Hill.
I read as far as ‘Amanda Marcotte’. That sad little bint has nothing useful to say.
