Lord, help me Jesus. It was announced last night that Joe Biden will give a primetime speech outside Independence Hall in Philadelphia on Thursday evening. The subject of the speech will be ““continued battle for the soul of the nation”. My hair hurts just reading that. How on Earth does a soulless meat sack propose to hector us on the soul of the nation? To paraphrase Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, are the Shades of Independence Hall to be thus polluted?
The announcement of the primetime lecture comes as the Democrats are feeling better about their November chances since the student loan vote buying and the unprecedented raid on Mar-a-Lago. Good luck with that, Lefties.
Here is how the Philadephia Inquirer announced the speech:
President Joe Biden will give a primetime speech Thursday from outside Independence Hall, warning about threats to democracy, as he makes a swing of appearances to boost Democrats with roughly two months until the midterm election.
Biden will speak about “how the core values of this nation — our standing in the world, our democracy — are at stake,” according to the White House. He will talk about “the progress we have made as a nation to protect our democracy, but how our rights and freedoms are still under attack. And he will make clear who is fighting for those rights, fighting for those freedoms, and fighting for our democracy.”
The word “democracy” is in that statement three times and on purpose. They want the sheeple to forget all about that pesky Republic that their parents used to learn about in school. If you can convince the sheep they live in a democracy rather than a Republic, then you negate the Constitution and the three co-equal branches of government and, my beloved Electoral College. It’s a definite on purpose.
No one in the Federal government gives a fat rat’s backside about our standing in the world. If just one of them did, we wouldn’t being negotiating the JPOA with Iran, the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism. We wouldn’t have left Afghanistan the way we did and we wouldn’t kowtow to China on everything. The Deep State idea of our standing in the world is everyone walking all over us and us apologizing for existing.
The “battle for the soul of America” has been a consistent Bidenite theme since he announced. He has used it in Virginia, he and Kamala used it for the title of their bus tour, and it was the campaign commercial theme, too:
Thomas Jefferson wrote a great document, but he was a slaveholder. We have never lived up to our ideals. Expect these Biden themes to be repeated on Thursday night. But wait, there’s more:
Isn’t Biden the uniter who branded half the country as fascists? https://t.co/HKOrSvXosm

Right. If Biden cared a jot about the soul of the nation, he wouldn’t be dragging half of the nation and inciting the other half against us. Like last week:
Last week, in a midterm campaign speech in Maryland that signaled his midterm themes, Biden took aim at “MAGA Republicans” said that they “don’t just threaten our personal rights and economic security, they’re a threat to our very democracy.” At an earlier Democratic National Committee fundraiser, Biden referred to the MAGA philosophy as “almost like semi-fascism.”
Nothing screams unity like calling your fellow citizens “semi-fascists”.
You must forget about rising prices, 87,000 new IRS agents, or vote buying with your tax dollars. You must forget about indoctrinating kids in school, genital mutilation, and drag queen story hour. Forget about the Americans left behind in Afghanistan. Forget about how Joe wants you to keep getting vaccinated and boosted.
This is a battle for the soul of our nation. And, about that: Joe has never defined what that looks like. Wikipedia has some interesting programming with the titles Soul of our Nation. What does Joe mean? Open borders with unvetted, unvaxxed and uneducated people from third-world counties invading. Does Joe mean crime in our streets, wildings all over and businesses destroyed? Taxing and auditing the middle-class out of existence. Joe always talks about a “little breathing room”. We don’t want breathing room. We want to take our future in our own hands and expand it forever.
Primetime Joe hasn’t decided whether this is a governing speech or a campaign speech. The networks haven’t decided whether to carry it or not. Makes no matter to me. Thursday night, the SEC network will be broadcasting the first University of Tennessee football game of the year. Good ole’ Rocky Top. Rocky Top Tennessee. Go Vols. Actually, that is part of the soul of this nation. The field of competition and the cheering fans.

“…a battle for the soul of our nation…” Actually, a good metaphor for our times. Given the verbal attacks by the president on those opposed to his agenda, I don’t feel bad about saying that the Democrats aren’t the good guys in the battle for our nation’s soul. The party that advocates violent riots in cities, releasing hardened criminals to prey on the innocent, proselytizing transgender and homosexual lifestyles to little children, abortion bordering on infanticide, and economic policies that ultimately will cause hunger is the party that wants the nation’s soul firmly planted in hell.
Could this be his “malaise” speech?
We can only hope.
(You will only get that reference if your political memory goes back as far as Jimmy Carter.)
I was a young pup back then but I know the reference.
This ain’t no malaise, it’s terminal brain rot.
Sure would like to see the list of pharmaceuticals they’ll have to use to keep him semi-lucid that late in the day.
I want to see him become a gibbering mess on live TV.
Outside of the use of “democracy” instead of “republic”, he’s actually right about this being a battle, he’s just lying about which side wants to preserve, and which wants to destroy what the Founders built..
If the left manages to steal this election like they did the last one, either the Republic is lost, or the Tree of Liberty will be watered.. there isn’t a third option.
I’m positive it will be a uniting and unifying speech. Clear, concise and to the point about what he is doing to bring us all together. His masterful plan to improve the economy, lower prices, close the border are working gloriously so whatever he says will be a benefit to us all. At least that’s what MSNBC and the others are telling me.
From what I heard, the senile pedo threatened airstrikes on American Citizens… seems that’s something that should carry consequences..
By “standing in the world” I’m pretty sure they mean “brand identity as reliable transnational progressive sellouts.”
Can you be pro FBI while Hunter roams the crack houses of our great country as a free man?
