It has become glaringly apparent that Piers Morgan does not like Meghan Markle. So much so, his commentary has launched an investigation U.K. media regulator Ofcom has launched an investigation after more than 41,000 people wrote in to complain about ITV’s “Good Morning Britain” host.
Things became so heated that Piers Morgan walked off the set and later, stepped down from his position on the popular British program.
We have launched an investigation into Monday’s episode of ‘Good Morning Britain’ under our harm and offence rules.”-Ofcom
What did Piers Morgan say to fire off an Ofcom investigation? He said he doubted the veracity of some of Meghan Markle’s claims. He called Prince Harry “embarrassing”.
I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she says, Meghan Markle. I wouldn’t believe her if she read me a weather report,” Morgan said Monday. “The fact that she’s fired up this onslaught against our royal family, I think is contemptable.”-Piers Morgan
Morgan went on to defend his position yesterday:
When we talked about this yesterday, I said, as an all encompassing thing, I don’t believe what Meghan Markle is saying generally in this interview and I still have serious concerns about the veracity of a lot of what she said. But let me just state for the record on my position on mental illness and on suicide. These are clearly extremely serious things and should be taken extremely seriously and if someone is feeling that way they should get the treatment and the help they need every time. And if they belong to an institution like the Royal family and they go and seek that help they should absolutely be given it.”-Piers Morgan
ITV announced Morgan’s departure from “Good Morning Britain” yesterday with “no further comments”. And Buckingham Palace issued their own response to the Meghan and Harry Oprah interview.
The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.” –Statement issued from Buckingham Palace
Proof The Queen has more class in her pinkie than Meghan Markle will ever have (even if you dress it up in fancy shoes). The matters will be addressed privately, as family disputes should be handled. Ahem-not to be broadcast around the globe. But hey, not everybody has a billionaire friend who wants to listen to you whine about being depressed because you were supposedly oppressed by The Royal Family. All of this whilst donning a $4,700 Armani maternity dress and her deceased mother-in-law’s jewels. Sooooo depressing, is this life.
The disturbing news in all of this? That Piers Morgan is under investigation for voicing an opinion.
This is what happens when you live in a country where there is no First amendment. Insanity:
Variety: ‘U.K. media regulator Ofcom launched an investigation after more than 41,000 people complained about Piers Morgan’s comments on Meghan Markle.’

No further information is known of the nature of the complaints to Ofcom, who get their directions from Parliament. It is all a bit ambiguous at this time. What is shocking? How many Americans want to see more regulations with our media outlets and applauding Britain for having “standards”.
I’m struggling to see what is insane about this. A presenter with a loud voice (in every sense) used his position to make comments that many people found offensive. An independent regulator received complaints and is investigating. It seems the very opposite of insanity.

Really? Love Piers Morgan or hate him, calling the Sussexes “a bunch of grasping, selfish, scheming Kardashian wannabes” or “the world’s most tone-deaf, hypocritical, narcissistic, deluded, whiny brats” doesn’t at all sound like a journalist spinning fiction when talking about those two. Really, does a humble humanitarian go on the big screen to air the dirty royal undies for millions to see? Piers Morgan may be seen as a “bully” for picking on poor, sweet, delicate flower (snort), Meghan Markle but who was really doing the bullying here? The “I’d say who it is but it would be damaging to those in the family”-type comments?
But Americans want to check hate speech. Because somehow, saying you don’t believe someone is always hate speech.
Let's be very clear: the new clip from Oprah's whine-athon with the Sussexes shows Meghan Markle directly calling the Queen & Prince Philip liars.
They are the heads of 'The Firm'.
And she's done this as Philip lies seriously ill in hospital.
It's an absolute disgrace.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 4, 2021
So, indirectly, Meghan and Harry called The Queen and Prince Philip liars? Come again, is THAT also hate speech? Just wondering. We’ve listened to our current President, Joe Biden, who can barely read a Jumbotron, call Donald Trump a liar for the better part of a year before our beloved media came out of left field with the announcement that he would be President. Piers Morgan may be abrasive, he may be a loudmouth and largely, this whole bit of his investigation is not about him. This is not about the Markles-err-I mean the Sussexes-but about the idea that someone-anyone-would be investigated for holding an opinion. This, alone, is a dangerous concept.

I found Matt Williams’ comments offensive. I want him investigated.
Seems to me, they have 41,000 people to investigate that does not include Piers Morgan.
Jake Tapper defending the First Amendment? Will wonders never cease. Does this mean that he will now allow interviewees to question the Presidential election?
