If we were the kinda people who got jazzed by star power, we might be impressed. Alas and alack, we are the kinda people who laugh at thirsty stars who think we give a hot damn what they think. Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Maren Morris and Oprah Winfrey, bwa ha ha. Miss Winfrey took a notion to exhort the crowd to “Do Something” and lecture us about misogyny and racism. Thank you, no.

Miss Winfrey as a speaker was only announced yesterday about four hours before the third day session began. But, she doesn’t do anything last minute. This was well planned, long ago. Page Six has the deets on her ensemble:

Oprah Winfrey might not be a Democrat, but she took the stage at the party’s 2024 national convention in Chicago Wednesday while wearing a bold purple suit that cleverly combined her political views with its violet color.

The 70-year-old media mogul — who told the crowd she was “a registered Independent” in her speech — sported a custom Christian Siriano blazer and matching trousers that blended the shades of Republican red and Democratic blue.

Winfrey’s blazer — which was crafted from a silk crepe fabric — featured a wide band around the waist to create a corset-like shape, and she wore it with matching flowy trousers.

The former talk show host kept the purple theme going with violet pumps and huge amethyst drop earrings, and she even wore lavender tones of makeup for her speech.

Winfrey called on “all you Independents and all you undecideds” to vote for Harris, noting “values and character matter most of all.”

Oprah Winfrey an “Independent”. Pardon my guffaw! We remember Winfrey and Barry Obama. Her imprimatur bought his victory. And, purple wasn’t to show her independence. It’s her go to color, fools. The “Do Something” Winfrey now commands of her acolytes is to elect Kamala Harris. What a narcissist. Here is her full speech:

Couldn’t you just pick apart every word? What a pretentious pontificator! The good news is that Oprah doesn’t command respect from a broad swath of the public. The bad news is that a lot of people are still waiting for a car from Oprah’s bounty. Her friendships with a certain Hollywood type have hurt her.

Oprah came to the Democrat National Convention to “speak her truth” about Donald J. Trump. “Her truth” doesn’t carry the same weight it used to. From Fox News:

Legendary talk show host Oprah Winfrey made a surprise appearance at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, when she slammed former President Trump and his vice presidential candidate 24 years after she suggested he would make a good president.

“We know all the old tricks and tropes that are designed to distract us from what actually matters,” Winfrey told the crowd at the United Center. “But we are beyond ridiculous tweets and lies and foolery. These are complicated times, people, and they require adult conversation. And I welcome those conversations because civilized debate is vital to democracy, and it is the best of America.”

In another veiled shot at Trump, Winfrey said, “Now, there’s a certain candidate that says if we just go to the polls this one time, that we’ll never have to do it again. Well, you know what? You’re looking at a registered independent who’s proud to vote again and again and again because I’m an American. And that’s what Americans do. Voting is the best of America.”

Well, Miss Winfrey some Christian sects are not into voting. Trump was trying to convince them to vote this once. Not everything is about you. But before Oprah had billions she was sucking up to Mr. Trump:
