The First Family has taken a little vacation to Maine. Of course, they had to take the family dog, right? Well, our vacationer-in-chief apparently couldn’t fit his tiny little Portuguese water dog onto Air Force One, so he flew his dog Bo in on Bo’s own private jet.
Earlier Friday, the Obamas were greeted by Gov. John Baldacci and U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud, D-2nd District, when they arrived in Trenton about 12:25 p.m.
The president was the first to walk onto the tarmac, dressed casually in a pale blue Oxford shirt and khakis. A few minutes later, the first lady, dressed in black capris, a tank-top and sandals, walked onto the runway. Shortly afterward, Malia and Sasha joined their parents.
Baldacci and his wife, Karen, presented the family with gift bags full of Maine-made goodies, including baskets made by the Passamaquoddy Tribe, popcorn from Little Lad’s Bakery in East Corinth, iconic L.L. Bean bags, University of Maine ice hockey hats, and an assortment of other Maine foods and books.
Karen Baldacci said the bags for Malia and Sasha contained one loon toy and one chickadee toy that sound their natural calls.
Arriving in a small jet before the Obamas was the first dog, Bo, a Portuguese water dog given as a present by the late U.S. Sen Ted Kennedy, D-Mass.; and the president’s personal aide Reggie Love, who chatted with Baldacci.
Wow — being the First Dog has its perks, huh? Your own private jet and everything! Wait… what was it that Obama keeps telling us to do? To sacrifice, to tighten the belt. I guess as president, he’s above all of that, huh? Air Force One must be a tiny little thing if it couldn’t fit a dog and one extra person aboard. And Obama is above that icky sacrificing stuff.
I’m curious though. Where’s the Green Police? Why aren’t they outraged over the extra jet fuel wasted to fly a dog to Maine? I guess the envirowackos look the other way for the right people, huh? I mean, what does it matter if Barack Obama is an ecological hypocrite? He’ll help get cap and trade passed, so he can hurt the environment as much as he wants.

I seriously believe they do these things intentionally, poking us with pointy sticks to make us mad. Please, ignore your inner Hulk. It’s what they want. Don’t let them win. When’s this going to actually work? Seems like he’s always on vacation. Well, maybe we should want him to not be at work. Seems like all he wants to do is everything I don’t want or for that matter, every other hard working freedom loving American.
Where are the anti-war as well? These people care soooo much about our troops and don’t want to see them killed so why aren’t they out there protesting Mr. O’s war? We all know why. Anti-Right not Anti-War. If GW was in there they would be camped out on the white house lawn.
Sacrifice? Yeah, if you’re an average Joe. Not the Washington elites or famous lefties (hollywood). Love all these celebs with there save the planet while fueling up their private jets. Then they have the nerve to lecture the people about their AC. One trip with from west to east coast is more harm than an AC unit does in its lifetime. Can’t stand these people. Sorry for rant.

Then again, not sure I want Obama actually trying to do anything with this country. Every time he lifts his head up and tries to act all leaderly, we spend another trillion dollars we don’t have.
