My husband and I often discuss Nancy Pelosi. We are weird like that. We think she is not smart or clever, that she is devious. It’s hard to think of a more destructive and hateful person in politics for the last 35 years. Joe Biden is not smart, clever, or devious; he’s just dumb and mean. AOC and the rest of the Squad are just pikers in terms of tenure and hatefulness. Nan is the undisputed queen. Before she hands over the Speakers gavel to whoever next month, she showed her viciousness, but with the latest legislation, she brought home the bacon.

Take a gander at this tweet that Nancy put up last night. It made me want to take an axe to something:

Why in the actual H-E-Double Hockey Sticks are the good people of Tennessee, and your state too, promising, because we don’t have the money, to go into debt for the Lyric Center for LGBTQ Youth, United Playaz against violence, or the Friendship House Association of American Indians, not a politically correct name. These are all worthwhile causes, I suppose. But, if they are worthwhile causes, Nancy and the other denizens of San Francisco can pony up the note. Hold a bake sale or sell coupon books.

The debtmoney for these, ahem, worthy causes is part of the $1.7 trillion Omnibus Bill passed yesterday. From The Hill:

The Senate passed the measure on Thursday in a 68-29 vote and the House on Friday passed it 225-201-1.

It now heads to the White House, where President Biden is expected to approve the funding measure.

I will donate to anyone running against any Republican who voted for this abortion. The Hill proclaims this as the largest military spending ever. Yes, because of all the armaments we sent to Ukraine. I hate both Putin and Zelenskyy.

In her final floor speech as Speaker, Nancy had to be a mean girl and a drunk old woman who messes up words. She took aim at Kevin McCarthy and wished everyone a Happy Schwanza. Here is her final speech:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) rebutted House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s (R-Calif.) comment calling the government funding omnibus bill “one of the most shameful acts” in the House’s history, asking if he had forgotten about the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection.

Pelosi responded on the House floor on Friday ahead of the House voting to pass the $1.7 trillion bill, saying it would likely be her last speech as speaker on the floor.

“It was sad to hear the minority leader earlier say that this legislation is the most shameful thing to be seen on the House floor in this Congress. I can’t help but wonder, had he forgotten Jan. 6?” Pelosi said.

Her response came one day after McCarthy railed against the bill and pointed to “left wing pet projects” that the bill funds.

“This is a monstrosity. That is one of the most shameful acts I’ve ever seen in his body,” McCarthy said. “The appropriations process has failed the American public, and there’s no greater example of the nail in the coffin of the greatest failure of a one-party rule of the House, the Senate and the presidency.”

Pelosi said the day of the House passing the bill is one of “immense patriotism” and noted that the bill includes language to reform election law to “thwart future attempts to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.”

Nancy wouldn’t know what was in the bill, no one has read it. All of the policy people she employs write this hippo excrement. And, as Kim wrote, we know that Nancy left the Capitol unsecured on January 6. From Kim’s important post:

“The Speaker of the House and Democrat leadership were closely involved in security decisions in the lead up to and on January 6, 2021.”
“The House Sergeant-at-Arms took direction from staff in the Office of the Speaker of the House and intentionally excluded Republicans from key meetings and conversations related to House security.”
“The House Sergeant-at-Arms was compromised by politics … and did not adequately prepare the Capitol for possible violence.”
“US Capitol Police did not give officers the appropriate training necessary to … protect the Capitol from violence.”
