Maduro Steals Venezuela Election To Stay In Power

Just when it was looking like Edmund Gonzalez was going to prevail hugely against Venezuela’s President Nicholas Maduro, there was an abrupt change. One the world watched in real time.

As the Wall Street Journal and others were reporting, polling was showing Gonzalez was ahead of Maduro by 34 percentage points! Polling stations were showing results in favor of Edmund as well.

And then, suddenly, the doors to voting stations all over the country slammed shut well before the final hour. Soldiers appeared and kept people from entering to cast their vote.

The translated text reads: In the state of Carabobo, in Venezuela, voting centers are illegally closing early and with Venezuelan voters waiting to vote. The tyrant Maduro is committing electoral fraud but the people of Venezuela are not letting up . #VenezuelaLibre

And then, Maduro was declared the winner.

Venezuela’s authoritarian leader, Nicolás Maduro, was declared the winner of the country’s tumultuous presidential election early Monday, despite enormous momentum from an opposition movement that had been convinced this was the year it would oust Mr. Maduro’s socialist-inspired party.

The vote was riddled with irregularities, and citizens were angrily protesting the government’s actions at voting centers even as the results were announced.

With 80 percent of voting stations counted, the country’s election authority claimed that Mr. Maduro had received 51.2 percent of the vote, while the main opposition candidate, Edmundo González, had received 44.2 percent.

Mr. Maduro’s government has invented election results before, and this tally was immediately called into question by the opposition and by several officials in the region.

As the New York Times carefully stated in their headline, this was a “tainted election.” YOU THINK??!!

And now, we have multiple governments expressing their concern that the results were tampered with.

Chile’s President Gabriel Boric said that Maduro’s government “must understand” that the results giving him the victory “are difficult to believe,” and he added that his government won’t recognize “any result that is not verifiable.”

He said on his X account that the international community and the Venezuelan people demand “total transparency” of the tallies.

Chile’s foreign affairs minister added on X, “given the situation in Venezuela, we think its important to wait for the opinion of international observers.”

In a statement on X, Costa Rica’s President Rodrigo Chaves rejected Maduro’s win.

“We will work with the democratic countries across the continent and international organizations to achieve the respect the Venezuelan people deserve,” he said.

Meanwhile the U.S. is “concerned” about the results.

“It’s critical that every vote is counted fairly and transparently, that election officials immediately share information with the opposition and electoral observers without delay and that the electoral authorities publish detailed tabulation of votes,” he said.

No. REALLY?

Keep in mind, under Maduro’s dictatorship, the country has gotten quite cozy with Iran. And, when the Biden Administration arbitrarily stopped oil and gas lease sales, while starting to dip into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, they went hat in hand to Maduro for oil! That was in early 2022. The costs to refine that oil into something that is even remotely usable was sky high, so yet another financial loss for the U.S. and Maduro’s gain.

Oh, but that’s not all. Here’s what Joe, Anthony Blinken, and crew did just a couple of weeks ago.

For President Biden, it was a gamble: ease crippling sanctions on the government of Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro in exchange for Maduro’s promise to hold a free and fair election for president this year.

With that election now less than two weeks away, Venezuelans — and U.S. officials — are watching to see if the outreach has helped yield a democratic vote.

As we are seeing this morning, this was yet another Biden foreign policy failure.

That’s ok. Kamala has some stern words for Maduro.

It’s absolutely hilarious and I’m just waiting for Kamala to go after the root causes of how Maduro suddenly  and magically prevailed.

Yes, we can plausibly say that the Maduro stole the election so he can keep power. Let’s hope the people of Venezuela will persist, but it’s truly difficult to vote your way out of socialism when the current office holder holds all the cards.

Do they use dominion voting machines ? Sounds kinda like black panthers blocking polls in Philadelphia… make no mistake, Kamala and the dema are taking notes for Nov..

    • You don’t need fancy computer tricks when you can send your thugs to take care of business.

Coming here – be very cautious if your voting precinct is majority Republican. The Democrat Brown Shirts are likely to make an appearance for a mostly peaceful beat-down of anyone trying to vote.

The only person who tried to steal an election in the United States is one fucking fat Malignant Tumor by the name of Donald John Trump.

The Chicago Machine, Pennsylvania vote abuse, and Milwaukee’s voting results beg to differ, Reject Sale Roehm. To say nothing of historical cases like Tammany Hall. So this is more idiotic, incompetent gaslighting from you.

Also, isn’t it funny how you have LITERALLY NOTHING TO SAY about the NatBol, Neo-Communist, totalitarian dictatorship forcing millions of people to die or flee, while sponsoring anti-American terrorism throughout the Western Hemisphere? Why is that, Reject Sale Roehm?

Going to take a random guess here, but you actually don’t oppose Maduro, at least not on anything substantial. Indeed, Maduro and Chavez are what scumbags like you aspire to be. You will never hate anti-American, apocalyptic totalitarians (who are often as a rule gay bashing scumbags) with a FRACTION of the hatred you have for us. How many of us would you like PSUV and their foreign masters to kill, Kevin?

You don’t need to answer that. I think we know.

Frankly, comparing you to a tumor is too kind. Tumors are ultimately not malevolent. They cannot learn from the past. They cannot plan for the future. They have no hatred, or ill will, or ambition. You and your idols, on the other hand, have no such excuses. That is what helps define you and people like PSUV as evil.
