New Orleans Saints’ Defensive Tackle Khalen Saunders has announced that he will host LGBTQ-friendly football camp this summer. His point is to make football accessible for “everyone”. Oh, my head aches.

Pardon my cynicism. If you are playing football, no one gives a feather what your sexuality is. If you are playing great football, they will actively not care. This is not just stunning and brave, but also allyship and positive energy. Khalen Saunders is so inclusive. From The Spun:

New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Khalen Saunders announced that he would be starting a football camp that welcomes LGBTQ youth this summer.

If football is for all and you want to be inclusive, why must everyone be sorted and slotted by labels? Just asking?

Breitbart.com explained that Saunders got educated about LGBTQ politics at the Pride Football Clinic during Super Bowl week:

The Saints defender also discussed his experience at the Pride Football Clinic during Super Bowl week.

“I was able to go out there and get to talk to some of the people participating in it and, man, it was great conversations,” Saunders said. “These are people that feel they have to be hidden. And although they love the sport, they might love the NFL, they might love football in general as a sport, they kind of shy away from it because of orientations or other outside things.”

It’s difficult to find anyone out there today who wants to keep anything hidden. They put their business out all over the town square and even take ads out. We are not advocates of keeping things hidden or lying. Does everyone have to be know all of your business all of the time?

Khalen Saunders has a personal stake in this. His brother Kameron, a back-up dancer for Taylor Swift, is gay.

Pink News had to make this LGBTQ football camp announcement political with a hit about President Trump:

Of course, his announcement couldn’t come at a better time for budding LGBTQ+ athletes, given the Trump-Vance administration’s decision to ban trans women from competing in women’s sporting events. GLAAD said at the time that Trump’s executive order, titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports”, “has zero credibility in any conversation about protecting women and girls.”

So stunning and so brave of Pink News. Let us never allow anyone on the Left to call us “science deniers” again.

Khalen Saunders and his brother Kameron seem like joyful, pleasant people. It’s their time and money. Khalen can hold football camps for every color in the pride flag.

People who love football and will watch it on television and spend money supporting their teams don’t give a fig that Khalen runs an LGBTQ football camp. They just want great football, good old-fashioned hits and ingenious plays.

The NFL and its players shouldn’t drive their audience away again.
