Lara Trump For Senate – No Queens Either

Senator Thom Tillis, (RINO/Traitor/Boneless Chicken) of North Carolina, announced that he will not seek reelection in 2026. First, thank you. BUT, the Democrats would love to pick up this seat and Tillis was expected to have a tough race. North Carolina NEEDS to pick a top-notch MAGA candidate. A day after the announcement that Tillis won’t run the first name mentioned was Lara Trump, wife of Eric, daughter-in-law of President Donald. Lara Trump for Senate – NO. You have heard of No Kings! I say, no Queens either. Actually, no dynasties.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love the British Royal Family. Lord knows they are not perfect. Andrew and Harry? What I love is the pageantry that has been practice for a thousand years. I adore Trooping the Color. However, I am an all-American girl. I love our Representative Republic. No Kings. No Queens. No Dynasties. I found this headline from Politico troubling, “‘She has the right of first refusal’: GOP waits to see whether another Trump will run”. Are you freaking kidding me? From the article:

Now, the younger Trump — who has previously had ambitions to hold elected office — is at a crossroads again amid Sen. Thom Tillis’ announcement that he won’t seek reelection. And while she weighs her options, the rest of the state GOP is at a standstill.

“The field is gonna be frozen,” said one political operative close to the White House. “She has the right of first refusal.”

The right of first refusal? Um, that should be up to the fine folks of North Carolina. Despite SOME people trying hard, we don’t have royal families or dynasties.

In 2020, Senator Ted Kennedy died in office. The less said about his life the better. During the race to replace him, Scott Brown had to remind David Gergen that it wasn’t a Kennedy seat, it was the people’s seat.

Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg and her son Jack Schlossberg don’t have the brain power to light up a potato light. The Bush Dynasty after George H.W. and George W. is Jeb! Oof! Roosevelts, no.

From the Huffington Post:

Lara Trump is reportedly in the mix to run for the Senate seat that will be vacated by retiring Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.).

But former GOP strategist Stuart Stevens doesn’t hold out much hope for President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law actually winning an election and entering Congress.

“I think she’d be a disaster for Republicans,” Stevens, the chief strategist of Mitt Romney’s unsuccessful 2012 presidential campaign, told MSNBC’s Chris Jansing on Monday.

Lara Trump, the wife of Trump scion Eric and currently a host on Fox News, would likely “win the primary,” but “she’d probably be the worst candidate that they could field,” he said.

“This has been a very tightly contested state,” he explained. “It’s one of the states that Romney won and that [former President Barack] Obama had won before. I don’t think there’s anything that’s going on now inside the Trump world that he’s delivering that makes him more popular in North Carolina.”

I don’t know what Lara Trump did for the Republican National Committee, but after Ronna Romney McDaniel anything is an improvement.

The Tampa Free Press likes Lara also:

Following Senator Thom Tillis’s announcement that he will not seek re-election in 2026, attention has quickly turned to his potential Republican successor. CNN’s senior data reporter Harry Enten revealed Monday on “Anderson Cooper 360” that President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, is positioned as a significant frontrunner should she decide to enter the North Carolina GOP Senate primary.

According to the Kalshi betting market, Lara Trump currently holds 48% support to become the Republican nominee, considerably outpacing other potential candidates.

Not only am I not a fan of dynasties, but I also cannot imagine being under 75 and stuck in the Senate with that bunch of desiccated losers. Buried alive.

This. Over and over again, THIS.

“I think she’d be a disaster for Republicans,” Stevens, the chief strategist of Mitt Romney’s unsuccessful 2012 presidential campaign
(Emphasis added, so I could go:) BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!
He is going to tell me who would be a disaster for Republicans?!?

Please, Lara, don’t. If you’re going to get into politics, run for something local, first. Better yet, spend your time being a force behind others – raise up good, solid Constitutional conservatives to run in all sorts of places at all levels, so we have a deep bench as we move forward.

  • I hope the quest is on for a better candidate. We do need that Senate seat.
