Joe Kent Resigns, Claims Iran Isn’t A Threat And It’s Israel’s Fault

Joe Kent, head of National Terrorism Center, resigned this morning. His resignation letter tells us he’s gone way down the conspiracy rabbit hole. Why? You see it’s all Israel’s fault. For everything.

“After much reflection, I have decided to resign,” Joe Kent, the head of the National Counterterrorism Center, posted on X. “I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran.’’

Kent continued: “Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.’’

The timing of his resignation is interesting for two reasons. One, Tulsi and other officials will be appearing before Congress tomorrow, so his statement about Israel is now going to be fodder for the Democrats. Secondly, as he’s blaming Israel for everything, two top Iranian officials, both of whom are very evil people, have been killed.

Ali Larijani, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, and Gholamreza Soleimani, commander of the Basij, were “eliminated” in strikes overnight, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement.

The United States placed sanctions on Larijani in January in connection with Iran’s crackdown on protesters. He was responsible for coordinating a response on behalf of Iran’s supreme leader, U.S. officials said at the time, and he publicly called for Iranian security forces to violently suppress protests.

Larijani had remained defiant on social media in recent days. “Trump says he is looking for a speedy victory. While starting a war is easy, it cannot be won with a few tweets. We will not relent until making you sorry for this grave miscalculation,” he wrote on X last week.

What the Washington Post fails to make clear, even through the rest of their report, is that Soleimani actually ORDERED his troops to murder Iranian protestors, leading to at least 30,000 (that we know of) deaths. I’m pretty sure Joe Kent knew of that regime’s brutality in recent months, and I’m pretty darned sure he knows of Iran’s on-going brutality against its own citizens in addition to funding terror around the world.

I’m also quite sure he was informed of Iran’s stance on uranium enrichment and their refusal to stop any enrichment during the negotiations both last year and early this year.

Furthermore, any good student of history and reality knows of Iran’s well-known hatred of both the United States and Israel since 1979. Unless you are Joe, who has evidently fallen down the conspiracy rabbit hole filled with a metric ton of tinfoil. He’ll fit right in with those at the New York Times, who are currently whining about Ali Larijani’s death.

But the kicker is the rest of his blame game against Israel.

In case you decided not to fully read his resignation letter, he drops two additional conspiracy items in it.

One: He blames Israel for getting us into the war in Iraq. There’s a long convoluted history regarding Iraq and Israel’s stance about that country under Sharon and then Netanyahu, but no, Israel didn’t force us into the war.

Two: He blames Israel for his wife Shannon’s death in …Syria!

She was killed by ISIS. The same ISIS who Obama let run rampant across Syria. He KNOWS that. He wrote an op-ed praising President Trump in 2020 and stated very clearly that his wife was killed by an ISIS suicide bomber.

That was then.

He threw those statements out in his resignation letter and is now getting applauded by not only the left, but by the likes of Candace Owens.

Here’s another thing about this tinfoil resignation letter. It reads like he’s just burning all the bridges and getting out before he was fired. Which leads to this interesting tidbit.

If he was a known leaker, then Tulsi needs to step up and explain why he wasn’t fired for it. Sidelined is one thing, but leaking classified info is bad. VERY bad and if he did so, he should’ve been canned immediately.

That said, Joe trying to blame Israel for everything while claiming President Trump has been led around by Israel is wrong on every level. Yet there will be, and already are, many who are celebrating Joe’s oh so brave stand.

I swear, I thought Wolf Blitzer was going to start happy dancing in his seat.

Joe’s claim that Israel is responsible for the Iraq War, for his wife Shannon’s death, and that Iran wasn’t a threat to the U.S. is tinfoil at it’s finest. Especially when it’s well known that Iran has directly killed over 1,000 Americans since 1979, and killed and injured many more through their terrorist proxies. It sure as hell wasn’t Israel that captured American ships and held American sailors hostage during the Obama Administration!

Karoline Leavitt just flattened Joe’s assertions with this statement via X. You should read the whole thing.

She’s correct. President Trump isn’t making decisions in a vacuum, and he has said for decades that Iran is a threat to America and the world and should be dealt with.

It’s evident that Joe fell into a vat of tinfoil, an Israel one at that. Given his current stance, I’d say good riddance.

It seems President Trump feels the same way.
