Israel Hits Hamas Leaders In Qatar After They Refuse Trump Deal

Hamas was warned. They can’t say they weren’t warned. And now Israel has struck to cut off the head of the snake.

On Sunday, President Trump put out this statement on Truth Social. It was now or never for Hamas to take a deal.

Hamas refused to take the deal that Israel had accepted. Now, that deal was reportedly not great for Israel, as it would have released thousands of criminals in exchange for the hostages, but it would have required the release of all of the hostages (living and dead) on the first day. It ended up not mattering, as Hamas refused to even consider it.

Well, they apparently found the end of President Trump’s patience, and Israel got a green light to take out the Hamas leaders at their comfortable quarters in Doha, Qatar.

“The IDF and ISA [Shin Bet] conducted a precise strike targeting the senior leadership of the Hamas terrorist organization,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.

Khalil al-Hayya and Zaher Jabarin were the two targets of the Israeli strikes, Fox News chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst said Tuesday, citing initial reports. Israeli officials told Fox News Digital that the U.S. was informed in advance of the strikes.

“For years, these members of the Hamas leadership have led the terrorist organization’s operations, are directly responsible for the brutal October 7 massacre, and have been orchestrating and managing the war against the State of Israel. Prior to the strike, measures were taken in order to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and additional intelligence,” the IDF added.

“The IDF and ISA will continue to operate with determination in order to defeat the Hamas terrorist organization responsible for the October 7 massacre,” it also said.

Al-Hayya recently was involved in talks for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the release of the remaining hostages being held by the Gaza-based terrorist group Hamas.

Zaher Jabarin is responsible for Hamas’ finances and is a key player in the terrorist organization’s West Bank operations. He reportedly was involved in the negotiations as well, although his role was less prominent.

You would think that after Iran watched its nuclear ambitions get pounded into dust, Hamas would have taken President Trump a little more seriously. Oh, well. FAFO, as they say. There seem to be a few vacancies at the top of the organization now.

Now, it isn’t like there isn’t anyone left to negotiate with, unfortunately. But this strike sends a message to what is left of Hamas leadership – you are on notice, and Israel will not be restrained by President Trump. They wanted the war to keep going, so Israel brought the war to them.

Qatar, of course, is protesting that they “condemn” the strike (though it is highly likely they were informed about it before it happened). Funny, they don’t seem to have any problem with Hamas leadership living in comfort far away from Gaza within their borders.

No one should forget that Qatar has been buying American “goodwill” for years, whether by offering up a new Air Force One or by simply paying off media figures to spew their propaganda. We have an air base there, which is strategically valuable, but Qatar is not and will never act in America’s best interests. They pay off the United States at the same time they play host to Hamas.

Naturally, all the usual suspects (Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Lebanon, the United Nations) are paying lip service to how terrible it is that Israel hit the Hamas leaders. Do they really mean it? Doubtful.

Now, Al Jazeera and Al Araby are both claiming that Hamas leadership “survived” the attack (this would be after Al Jazeera panicked because they couldn’t get a hold of Hamas on the phone…), and claiming that Hamas leaders are saying that only a few people were killed, and not their top leaders. We shall see.

Between President Trump’s final warning to Hamas to take the deal, and the terror attack yesterday in Jerusalem which killed six people (which Hamas claimed credit for), Israel looks like they are done and want to finish the job. Depending on who was killed in the strike, it will take time for Hamas to find someone willing to be the next leader (funny how terrorist leadership always seems to be a revolving door) and in the meantime, it looks like Israel plans on moving in to Gaza City. They are dropping leaflets and telling civilians to move, while Hamas is trying to keep civilians in place because they need their human shields – and if they die, that’s a sacrifice Hamas is willing to make. (That is sarcasm, for those who missed it.)

While the world waits for the dust to settle and Qatar to confirm who is dead, Israel should just start moving into Gaza City. Hamas already rejected the final deal, and now Israel should simply do what must be done in order to work on routing out Hamas on the ground, and recovering the hostages. We are rapidly approaching the two year mark since October 7th. There are heartsick and heartbroken families who want their loved ones brought home. Hamas has been allowed to drag this out for far too long. Striking at their headquarters in Doha is sending a message to their leadership – you are not safe, and now the war will come to you.

The only deal that is acceptable is ALL hostages returned and for every single one that is dead, ten prisoners are executed on live TV. Hamas has gotten too comfortable acting like savages.
