Events are quickly unfolding and changing in the Middle East, but what is clear is that Iran has chosen to directly go after Israel, and now they will reap the literal whirlwind.

In the city of Jaffa, a mass shooting has happened on the streets.

At least eight people have been killed and at least seven injured in a shooting in the Israeli city of Jaffa, located near Tel Aviv, local officials have told Fox News.

The incident, which is believed to be a terror attack, took place Tuesday outside a newly built light rail station on Jerusalem Street.

Authorities say at least two individuals who opened fire on a crowd of people have been neutralized.

This would be huge news, if not for what happened next. Iran fired a wave of ballistic missiles into Israel.

Iran launched dozens of missiles against Israel on Tuesday, a barrage of strikes it says are in response to the deaths of Hezbollah and Hamas leaders.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) warned citizens to shelter in place and follow instructions from the Home Front Command as the Jewish State’s Iron Dome anti-missile defense system works to intercept incoming rockets.

“During the defense, we carried out quite a few interceptions,” IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said after the attack was over. “There are some impacts in the center and areas in the south of the country.”

Hagari said that while Israel is still assessing the Iranian attack, officials “are unaware of casualties.”

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said this latest barrage of missiles is in retaliation for the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut, Lebanon, in an Israeli airstrike late last week and the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in July, according to Fox News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warned in a statement released by Iranian state media that if Israel responds to the missile barrage, “it will face crushing attacks.”

Was the mass shooting coordinated in order to maximize the terror effect? It would not be surprising if it was. Reportedly, one person has been killed by debris from the missiles, but Iron Dome – yet again – proved its worth by saving the lives of millions of people. This was a full-out onslaught, and Iran did not care where or what they hit.

Also, missile defense technology is having its moment in the sun, and forty years later, President Reagan should be recognized for his foresight.

What on earth does Iran think it will gain with this attack, after Israel has proved that they have the capability to take out Hezbollah, and Hamas only preserved from total destruction by the fact that they still hold hostages? The retaliation is coming, and this time Israel is not going to be inclined to be “restrained” in its response.

Unlike the last time that Iran fired off missiles and drones, and Israel merely bombed a location near the nuclear facilities in Isfahan province in retaliation, it is obvious that Israel is done being patient with Iran. The problem is, of course, that the rest of the world is telling Israel to just absorb the hit and ignore Iran – something that they are just not going to do.

How many times have we heard Joe Biden tell Iran “don’t” and Iran has ignored them, and then Biden tells Israel that they can’t respond when Iran DOES, and Israel ignores him because no one cares what a weak Joe Biden thinks? At what point do we all just acknowledge that Joe Biden is barely sentient and has no authority left on the world stage? We have assets in place in the Middle East, but will Biden actually allow them to go to the aid of our ally, Israel? We’re told that Biden and Harris are “monitoring” what is happening, but where is the leadership?

There are current reports that the Biden administration is once again, telling Israel to NOT retaliate. That’s not going to happen, and it is disgraceful that the administration would even ask that of Israel, just because only one person died this time. And the only reason THAT miracle occured is because of the amazing technology of Iron Dome.

Now we wait to see what Israel will do. Unfortunately, we have gotten a full display of just how weak and ineffectual Biden and Harris truly are. We will also have to wait and see how this changes the tenor of the vice presidential debate tonight.
