Ilhan Omar will do her absolute best to spin her way out of the fraud issues blanketing Minnesota. Yesterday she, with a straight face, asserted that all the fraud cases are just PR stunts by the Trump Administration.

The administration says the surge has been necessary to conduct both immigration enforcement and to investigate a growing fraud scandal in the state, the cost of which federal prosecutors estimate could top $9 billion. The scandal dates back to 2021, when Biden administration Justice Department investigators first honed in on an at least $250 million COVID-era scam revolving around the Feeding Our Future program, a case that now includes more than 75 defendants.

Most of the defendants are of Somali descent, leading President Trump and other Republican lawmakers to focus attention on the state’s large Somali community, while threatening to suspend federal funding to the state across a broad array of programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, known as SNAP, and child care funding.

She’s super tired of all this guys. We need to drop the subject and quit the investigations. 

Poor Ilhan is “so exhausted” that this administration would actually spend government resources to investigate the defrauding of government resources, and to do their Constitutional duty of enforcing laws.

Of course, the panel she’s talking to nodded affirmation like the media bobbleheads they are. Keep in mind, these are the same media who got very mad that Nick Shirley made them all look like fools. 

That said, Ilhan wants the investigations to stop. What investigations? All of them. Fraud and ICE. 

She’s peddling the ‘Good was super scared and the officer was in the wrong’ narrative with all her might. She’ll lie like a rug in order to stop people from looking any deeper into the fraud and immigration issues facing her district and the state of Minnesota. 

Ilhan Omar doesn’t want anyone looking under the hood regarding fraud and the bad actors living in Minnesota illegally and committing horrific crimes.

Safety of her actual constituents? Not her problem. 

What’s also laughable is that she is claiming that these PR stunts are a waste of taxpayers money! 

“It is just creating fear. What they are doing is creating confusion, chaos, trying to intimidate people from being able to exercise their regular normal activities that they would. There is no justification in any of the things that they say,” Omar told Brennan on “Face the Nation” Sunday. “The 87 people that you’ve described as being investigated, many of them adjudicated, all happened under the Biden Administration. There is no justification for the search. We know that ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] has the ability to conduct raids. There is no reason to have over 2,000 people coming into our city and creating the level of terror that they have created.”

Is she exhibiting any concern about bogus businesses scamming taxpayers out of billions? NOPE. 

Then again, she magically went from making nothing to $30 million a year in less than four years, so her weaseling away from addressing the fraud problems directly is on brand for her. 

You know what is comical about Ilhan’s claim that this is all PR stunts? Mayor Jacob Frey dropped a truth bomb on Meet The Press yesterday. 

“Obviously, everybody could have done more to prevent fraud. And I think that’s a fair point to make. You do more to prevent fraud. And you look what he’s doing right now. He’s setting up a whole bunch of infrastructure to do that. And by the way, look, the fraud’s real. We’ve all got to acknowledge it,” Frey told NBC News’s Kristen Welker on “Meet the Press,” referencing Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D).

“The fraud is very real. And by the way, when somebody commits fraud, and there are many that have done that, you investigate it. You charge. You prosecute. And yeah, you put the person in jail as an individual. You put the person in jail as an individual. You do not hold an entire community, any community, accountable for the actions of individuals,” he added.

So, on the very same day, Frey bluntly states that the fraud is real while Ilhan is over there claiming all of this is just some PR stunt. The jokes just write themselves at this point. 

Ilhan desperately wants us to believe that there is no CURRENT fraud happening in Minnesota. If there isn’t, then why the announcement that the “Quality LEARING Center” has been closed down? Or this?

According to Ilhan, it’s totally ok to waste taxpayer dollars on fraud. Using tax dollars to investigate the fraud? A PR stunt.
