Societies that work have guardrails for a reason. In a shocking but not surprising scene, when ICE agents were surrounded by organized terrorists the Chicago police did not respond because they were ordered to stand down from those at the top. Given the ugly words spewed by Governor J.B. Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson this was shocking but not surprising. Special Operations Officers were sent to protect them, but some injured officers still went to the hospital for treatment.

ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) do not write the laws, that’s our lame Legislative Branch. The brave men and women execute. They execute the laws according to Article II, Section 3 of our Constitution. This is not an unhinged, fever dream in the fantasy life of President Donald Trump. Duly elected members of the Legislative Branch, elected by citizens of this Country (Let’s hope.), wrote the laws. If Pritzker and Johnson truly had problems with the laws, they should address them to the Legislative Branch, not those sworn to enforce the laws.

We have reached a very dangerous level of political hackery. Dangerous, vitriolic rhetoric has been used by local political operatives in Illinois, and it has now taken a turn for the worse.

Bill Melugin and other sources are reporting that on October 4th, a CPD “Chief of Patrol” instructed his police officers not to respond when ICE/Border Patrol asked for help when they were under attack following a shooting. This type of order virtually never comes from the local precinct cops; that order comes from local politicians, either the mayor or possibly the governor would have given such an order.

Mayor Brandon Johnson doesn’t “exactly admit” that he ordered a stand down, but he says that the Chicago P.D. will not dub (double) as ICE agents. Twit!

Governor J.B. Pritzker has been often said that ICE agents were akin to Nazis and, in the speech today, he said they were intimidating citizens and waging war. All of this so Trump can put troops on the ground.

Pritzker says this is so Trump can send more troops to Chicago.

Facts are anathema to people like Pritzker and Johnson. Special Operations assets were called in to protect ICE agents. From PJ Media:

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin confirmed the deployment and vowed that ICE and DHS will not back down. “These attacks on our brave law enforcement officers must END. Secretary Noem has taken action to deploy additional resources to restore law and order. We will not allow domestic terrorists to attack our law enforcement. If you lay a hand on law enforcement, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” she said.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a press release on Oct. 4, describing the chaotic and near-deadly scene that morning in Chicago:

Border Patrol law enforcement officers were ambushed by domestic terrorists that rammed federal agents with their vehicles. The woman, Marimar Martinez, driving one of the vehicles, was armed with a semi-automatic weapon and has a history of doxxing federal agents. She took defensive fire from CBP agents and has been discharged from the hospital and is currently in the custody of the FBI. The driver of another vehicle, Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, involved in the ramming has been apprehended by law enforcement.

According to DHS, the scene grew “increasingly violent as more domestic terrorists gathered and began throwing smoke, gas, rocks, and bottles at DHS law enforcement.” One of the domestic terrorists was arrested for assaulting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the scene.

Democrat Gov. JB Prtizker, who has blatantly lied about ICE activities and smeared federal law enforcement as practically akin to Gestapo, refused to allow local police to help CBP secure the scene. In fact, he subsequently issued a statement trying to make the case that the only people causing violence are federal law enforcement. These actions would seem to violate 18 U.S. Code § 111, which bans interference with federal immigration officers, and 8 U.S. Code § 1324, which prohibits Americans from harboring and shielding illegal aliens.

I guess Pritzker doesn’t like the Supremacy Clause either.

It’s common thinking to say that people like Pritzker and Johnson are resisting Trump because they believe he is illegitimate and a fascist. Groovy. But only a small part of the picture. They hate you and they hate me. They love illegal aliens because they are loyal and don’t know or understand the Constitution. But, you and I elected Donald Trump so we are EVIL.

This cannot go on.
