Vikki says: Dad and Mom gathered all of us kids around the TV. We were so excited! Mom made jokes about the Man in the Moon greeting Neil Armstrong with gifts of aged green cheese. From that point on, we were all bonified space geeks!

BikerDan says: This was a very proud moment in an otherwise miserable time for the country. I was in Vietnam, in sh*t up to my eyeballs, when this happened. When I heard about it from the Gunny, I instantly missed home more then I ever had before.
