Foreign Group May Get Power Over Military Supplies Contracts

We are all well aware that our beautiful, magnificent military has been taken over by the Diversity, Inclusion and Equity bean counters and indoctrination priests. Some of us also are aware that Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm wants an all-electric military fleet by 2030. If you are not, read Nina’s post here. For a final leg of this destructive triad, the Biden Administration Cabinet of Incompetents has rejoined the Paris Climate Accords. So, the Bidenites want to give a foreign entity approval control of over our warriors’ supplies and logistics contracts.

You read that right. On the cusp of World War III our military will be policed by a foreign entity of unelected Green bureaucrats in order to ensure that our war fighters are meeting emissions standards set out by another foreign entity of unelected Green bureaucrats. Those who fight for Xi Jinping or Mother Russia won’t be constrained and will roll over our personnel with carbon spewing tanks and munitions. Don’t believe me:

Biden Proposal Would Give Foreign Climate Group Veto Power Over U.S. Military Contracts

Under the White House’s proposed rule change, a London-based group called the Science Based Targets Initiative that is funded by the Democratic Party’s main dark money network would be responsible for approving the carbon emissions reduction plans of large federal contractors.
The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) is a fee-based service that helps companies set emissions reduction targets in line with the Paris Climate Agreement and verifies their progress. But its foreign status and murky financial background raise questions about the Biden administration’s decision to outsource its vetting process to the group. Critics say the proposal would give SBTi enormous veto power over American defense contracts and access to potentially sensitive data about U.S. military suppliers.

Yes, because we don’t already have spies and hackers stealing secrets left, right and all over Hell and half of Georgia about our advanced equipment. It’s not bad enough that our logisticians must needs be concerned about supplying “bullets and beans” to the warfighters. They must calculate the manufacturing and shipping carbon emissions of the T11 parachute or 1/2″ air assault rope. Progressives have NO CLUE whatsoever what goes into being a member of the United States military. Worse, they are so elitist that they despise and want to destroy our servicemembers.

Here is more:

“I think Americans will be upset when they realize the Biden administration is trying to put a bunch of unelected bureaucrats and a climate activist group—headquartered in London—in charge of long-term planning for our national defense contractors,” said Travis Fisher, a senior energy research fellow at the Heritage Foundation.
The rule change is expected to impact 671 large contractors across multiple federal agencies, and steer an estimated $1.2 million in mandatory fees to SBTi each year, according to the proposal, which is still awaiting approval from government administrators.
Although SBTi publicly launched in 2015, the organization didn’t officially exist until June 26, when it filed incorporation papers in London, according to United Kingdom business records reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. The group is not registered in the United States. SBTi didn’t respond to a request for comment.

What is the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)? According to their website:

LEAD THE WAY TO A LOW-CARBON FUTURE
Science-based targets provide companies with a clearly-defined path to reduce emissions in line with the Paris Agreement goals. More than 4,000 businesses around the world are already working with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Join them today.

What are the benefits of joining the SBTi?
Reducing GHG emissions in line with climate science is good for the planet and for companies.
Science-based target setting makes business sense – it future-proofs growth, saves money, provides resilience against regulation, boosts investor confidence, spurs innovation and competitiveness – while also demonstrating concrete sustainability commitments to increasingly-conscious consumers.
Companies going through the target validation process benefit from detailed feedback and support from the SBTi’s technical experts. Businesses who sign the SBTi commitment letter are immediately recognized as “Committed” on our website, as well as the CDP, UN Global Compact and We Mean Business websites.

We figured after Covid that “follow the science” means follow the money. For instance:

The Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has been accused of providing a “platform for greenwashing” in a critical analysis published by The Guardian. The SBTi does not publish its evaluation of a company’s climate targets in full. It just releases a ranking of their “near term”, “long term” and “net-zero” ambitions.

And here is one of their minions describing SBTi FLAG targets:

This idiot actually believes this and is not in on the grift (money). Brazil, Russia, India and China (the BRICs) contribute way more to the destruction of everything and they are laughing.

Finally, who funded SBTi?

The Science Based Targets initiative was established in 2015 [3] to help companies to set emission reduction targets in line with climate science[4] and Paris Agreement goals.[5] It is funded by IKEA Foundation, Amazon, Bezos Earth Fund, We Mean Business coalition, Rockefeller Brothers Fund and UPS Foundation.[6] In October 2021 SBTi developed and launched the world’s first net zero standard, providing the framework and tools for companies to set science-based net zero targets and limit global temperature rise above pre-industrial levels to 1.5 °C.[7][8] Best practice as identified by SBTi is for companies to adopt transition plans covering scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, set out short-term milestones, ensure effective board-level governance and link executive compensation to the company’s adopted milestones.[3]

The destruction of our military is moving faster and faster. Do you think we have two years left?
