Focus On Hostages, Not Gazan Refugees, GOP Tells Biden

The hostages kidnapped from Israel on October 7, 2023 have been held in Gaza for seven months now. Unbelievably, Dopey, America-hating Joe Biden has talked about resettling Gazan refugees into the United States. Last night, Senator Joni Ernst and 35 like-minded GOP Senators sent a letter to Creepy, crappy Joe to ask him to focus on those still being held rather than those looking to emigrate here from Palestine. I would let you borrow my smelling salts, but I am going to need mine.

It was just a couple days ago that Victory Girls dear Lisa told you about this completely ri-duck-ulous plan for resettlement. Her post was called “White House Panders And Considers Welcoming Palestinians”. There is a reason why Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and the others won’t let the Gazans through their borders. From Lisa’s post:

Egypt would never agree to a resettlement of Palestinian refugees… It would be permanent. It will never be temporary, as Israel suggests.”-Yassin Ashour, Egyptian political consultant

No refugees in Jordan, no refugees in Egypt.”-King Abdullah II of Jordan

Joe Biden thinks we will take this pettish, bomb-making, raping, murdering bunch. Forget about the hostages. You know that empty chair around the table. Yesterday, Senator Ernst questioned Biden’s Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines. Ernst grilled DNI Haines on vetting the refugees and the number of possible refugees.

Now, I think Ernst is kind of a squishy Republican, but up against Haines, she was fine. Especially repeating and emphasizing the 71% back Hamas. The world is a global threat to us these days, we don’t need to import any more threats. From the questions by Ernst of Haines and Air Force Defense Intelligence Agency Lt. General Jeffrey Kruse yesterday:

Ernst asked Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines and the Air Force Defense Intelligence Agency director, Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Kruse, if the proposed White House action would definitely not put Americans at risk.

“The process for bringing individuals into the United States includes a very significant vetting process that would be the kind of process I would expect to occur and so therefore, that would mitigate against any concern,” Haines said.

Ernst fired back and pointed to the Biden administration’s decision to airlift tens of thousands of Afghans from Kabul in 2021 as an example of the government’s failure to identify and vet people being brought into the country.

Wouldn’t you think that hostages, those still alive and the bodies of the deceased, would be more important the new imports? Not to Biden, I guess. Ernst and 35 GOP Senators are more interested in the hostages, than murderous, new arrivals. From the Washington Times:

Led by Sen. Joni Ernst, Iowa Republican, a group of senators said polling shows more than 70% of Gazans believe Hamas’ murderous Oct. 7, 2023, sneak attack on Israel was “correct.”

“We demand that your administration cease planning for accepting Gazan refugees until you adequately answer our concerns and focus your attention instead on securing the release of U.S. hostages held by Hamas,” the senators wrote in a letter to Mr. Biden on Wednesday.

CBS News reported this week on documents showing an internal discussion among senior Biden officials about using the refugee program to help Gaza Strip residents escape the war between Israel and Hamas, the terrorist group that runs that territory.

The report said that one alternative would be to allow Gaza residents who have relatives with ties to the U.S. to be declared refugees. Biden officials are debating whether it would apply to people who have already made it out of Gaza and reached Egypt or whether it would welcome people still in the territory.

The senators said that would make it tough to weed out Hamas supporters or even operatives from the refugee population.

Gee, ya think?

Ernst and the other Senators are not alone. More from the Times:

A group of House Republicans is moving to use this year’s spending bills to block Mr. Biden from carrying out any refugee plan.

Reps. Andy Ogles of Tennessee, Tom Tiffany of Wisconsin and Scott Perry of Pennsylvania asked the Appropriations Committee to include language in the fiscal year 2025 Homeland Security spending bill preventing the issuance of a visa to persons traveling on a Palestinian authority visa.

The congressmen also asked the committee to proactively block Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas from using his “parole” power to let Gaza residents in, as he has done before for people from Ukraine and Afghanistan.

Holy Smokes! Haven’t we seen the error of our ways for the last two decades over the last two weeks? Don’t forget to vote Trump on November 5 or before, where allowed.
