FEMA, you had better have your legal counsel on speed dial, because fired employee Marn’i Washington is spilling the tea on you.
Also, Marn’i Washington better have retained legal counsel for herself as well, because this is not going to reflect well on her either.
As we have covered on this blog, The Daily Wire broke the story that Marn’i Washington, a FEMA supervisor in Florida during the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, told her staff both verbally and IN WRITING, that homes with Trump signage were to be skipped over, and not be contacted by FEMA representatives on the ground. The staff did avoid at least 20 homes with Trump swag displayed, and noted in their reports: “Trump sign, no contact per leadership.” They were just following orders! Washington was fired after the story broke, with FEMA administrator Deanne Criswell claiming that it was “one employee” who did this, saying:
This is a clear violation of FEMA’s core values and principles to help people regardless of their political affiliation. This was reprehensible.
I want to be clear to all of my employees and the American people, this type of behavior and action will not be tolerated at FEMA and we will hold people accountable if they violate these standards of conduct.
Well, this did not sit well with Marn’i Washington, who claimed she was being “scapegoated” because FEMA emphasizes “de-escalation” when interacting with the public, and going into areas where people have Trump signs is the equivalent of a “hostile work environment.”
Marn’i Washington is clearly angry that she’s the one who is being blamed for this, and she’s not being quiet (has she even talked to a lawyer?). She gave a very full interview to Roland Martin (formerly of CNN, most notorious for giving Donna Brazile potential town hall questions for Hillary Clinton back in 2016) on his YouTube podcast. If what she says is true, then FEMA is in some deep shit.
Washington says that not only were Trump homes avoided in Florida, but that it happened elsewhere, too.
Marn’i Washington, who was fired last week over the saga, broke her silence in an interview with YouTube podcaster Roland Martin Monday, arguing she had just been following a widespread FEMA policy of avoiding “politically hostile” homes.
“FEMA preaches avoidance first, and then de-escalation. This is not isolated. This is a colossal event of avoidance,” said Washington, 39.
“Not just in the state of Florida. You will find avoidance in the Carolinas.”
Washington accused FEMA of lying after the federal agency said she had no authority to give the directive to disaster relief workers who were canvassing homes in Lake Placid, Fla., in the wake of last month’s Hurricane Milton.
The FEMA official said her supervisor had approved the message — and that there were incident reports that would prove some residents had shown “political hostility” to workers in the area.
“Senior leadership will lie to you and tell you that they do not know, but if you ask the [Disaster Survivor Assistance] crew leads and specialists what they’re experiencing in the field, they will tell you,” she said.
“Demand for FEMA to give you those incident reports, they will substantiate what is happening to us in the field.”
“FEMA’s very well aware of the incidents that take place, not just with my crew, but with all the crews in the states,” Washington added.
Washington added there have been instances in the past where houses had been marked “politically hostile” when no Trump signs were present.
“We omitted these homes for safety precautions, not because of political play,” she added.
Asked for examples on what “political hostility” entails, Washington responded: “People will tell you ‘I don’t like FEMA, that’s part of the Biden-Harris campaign, you’re lying to people, you’re not helping people.’”

That sound you heard was Deanne Criswell going under the proverbial bus driven by Marn’i Washington, and then that bus backing up and driving over her again. Oh my. If the federal government considers “political hostility” to be something as simple as “I don’t like FEMA” or insert any government agency here, then we have HUGE problems that are not going to be solved with simply firing a supervisor, and demanding a couple of resignations, in the middle of a presidential administration transition period. The deep state seems to be personally OFFENDED when people don’t like them, and THAT is a problem that can only be solved by firing everyone and starting over. Washington says to get the incident reports to confirm that what she is saying is true. I can hear the sound of dozens of FOIA requests being submitted right now.
This happened on Criswell’s watch, and she is going to be the person in the hot seat next Tuesday. There’s a whole week for other FEMA employees to become “whistleblowers” and start handing over documents, or for other news sites to be handed tips that will confirm Washington’s allegations that this “conflict avoidance” instruction happened after Hurricane Helene as well as after Hurricane Milton. By the time Deanne Criswell sits down in front of the House Oversight Committee, her days in her job may be drawing to a rapid close.

We have EVIL people in every department of the Biden/Harris administration. Is ABC,CBS,NBC, MSNBC, The Bitches at View, and all the other evil MSM reporting this..
‘… going into areas where people have Trump signs is the equivalent of a “hostile work environment.”’
Well that sounds like prejudicial policy to me along the line of Democrats good/safe, Republicans [Trumpians] bad/dangerous.
