Crockett Asks Who Will Pick Cotton Without Illegal Labor

If it’s a day ending in Y, then Representative Jasmine Crockett is saying something incredibly racist.

While AOC is busy living the bougie first-class life off her Squad status, Crockett is busy building her brand. The junior league Squad member has been busy, and prefers making outrageous comments to garner headlines for herself. She picked a fight with Marjorie Taylor Greene and then sold merchandise to profit off it. She called Byron Donalds “skinfolk, not kinfolk” because he married a white woman (what happened to “love is love,” Democrats?). She proudly said that she got her first job as a public defender, with apparently zero experience, solely because she was black.

I’m sure her clients were THRILLED with that piece of news about her legal expertise.

Recently, Crockett insulted Governor Abbott of Texas by referring to the wheelchair-bound man as “Governor Hot Wheels” – and then swore she didn’t mean it LIKE THAT – and also ranted about “taking” Elon Musk “down” – and when she was rebuked by Attorney General Pam Bondi, she swore she didn’t mean it LIKE THAT, it’s just free speech!

Well, Jasmine Crockett has decided to just be generally racist instead of specifically targeting an individual person this time. Last Sunday, during a speech at Grace Baptist Church in Waterbury, Connecticut, she declared that we need illegal labor in this country, because she’s certainly not going to be picking cotton, so someone else has to do it.

“So I had to go about the country and educate people about what immigrants do for this country, or the fact that we are a country of immigrants,” Crockett said in the clip, as others present could be heard voicing their agreement. “The fact is, ain’t none of y’all trying to go and farm right now,” she continued. Murmurs could be heard as the congresswoman paused, as she then asked members in the crowd to raise their hands if they were into farming, prompting laughter. Crockett only raised her voice louder from there. “You’re not! You’re not! We done picking cotton! We are! You can’t pay us enough to find a plantation,” she added, which members of the audience could also be heard agreeing with.

It isn’t a hard stretch to think that Crockett’s words could have come out of the mouth of a Confederate lawmaker during the run up to the Civil War. What is it with Democrats always wanting an underclass to do labor on the cheap? Also, it’s been well established that Jasmine Crockett grew up attending private schools in St. Louis, so her “y’all I’m from the streets” act is wearing thin.

But the open racism and demand that there be an exploitable caste of labor wasn’t the only eyebrow-raising comment that Crockett made during her church speech.

Imagine if/when THAT clip starts trending on X. How long will it take for Crockett to do her usual backtracking of “I didn’t mean it LIKE THAT” and call churchgoing black Americans bigots because they don’t “embrace” the alphabet coalition? I mean, everyone else goes under the bus in Jasmine’s world if it means that she can pull her foot out of her mouth. Why would the black community be any different?

Literally everything Crockett does reflects her desire to curate her own personal profile. Unfortunately for her, she’s as likeable as a hornet’s nest and as dumb as a bag of hammers – but still hasn’t figured any of that out, which is why she’s constantly pushing herself forward with her perpetual “hot takes” that she then has to walk back. The real question is, will she eventually make herself so blatantly unelectable (think Cori Bush or Jamaal Bowman) that even the blue Texas district that she represents (the Dallas-Fort Worth area) gets sick of her shtick? We’ll have to wait and see, but I’m certain that Representative Crockett isn’t done blessing us with her racist commentary and bigoted opinions yet.
