To begin African American History Month, President Donald Trump met with community leaders representing the African American community. Flanked by HUD Secretary, Dr. Ben Carson, and Community Liaison Omarosa Manigault, Trump invited each member to introduce him/herself. There was a Thurgood Marshall scholar and some guy named Paris Dennard who appears on CNN. It was all good until a Cleveland, Ohio pastor mentioned Chicago Gangs and “lower the body count”.
I tell you what. Nothing will make you fall off of the treadmill faster than when a boring Presidential meeting turns into a scene from “The Godfather”. Now, I know you are thinking gangs? Toni, don’t you mean “West Side Story”. Watch the video and tell me that you don’t hear the Theme from “The Godfather” start playing in the background. It’s at about the 8:00 minute mark.

The Pastor, Reverend Darrell Scott was contacted by Chicago gang leaders who respect President Donald Trump. Townhall.com reported it like this:
“I was recently contacted by some of the top gang thugs in Chicago for a sit down. They reached out to me because they associated me with you. They respect you, they believe in what you’re doing and they want to have a sit down about lowering that body count,” Scott said. “They said we gotta lower that body count, they don’t want to talk about anything but getting that body count down and they agreed on principles that can do it, these are guys straight from the streets, no politicians, straight street guys but they’re going to commit that if they lower that body count, we can come in with some social programs.”

Trump in true “Michael Corleone” fashion upped the ante on negotiations.
“Great idea because Chicago is totally out of control, “Trump responded. “If they’re not going to solve the problem…then we’re going to solve the problem for them. We have to do something about Chicago. What’s happening in Chicago shouldn’t be happening in this country.”
VP Mike Pence will be the Tom Hagen character in this scenario. If I were Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, I would sleep with the light on.

Skillyboo says: You can tell how deeply buried or highly reported on the MSM websites by the number of comments a story receives. YAHOO gets thousands when a story they want to promote and a few hundred when it buries a story. This is one of the latter. Sad how MSM would rather ignore it for political points rather than show how President Trump is reaching out in ways that seek solutions that show thinking outside the box.
