However, now in the 17th month of Two Weeks To Flatten The Curve, predictions of politicians scrambling to keep us in permanent crisis-mode are coming to pass. New Zealand has locked the country down, hard, after one positive case in 174 days. Australia has 13 million citizens subjects under lockdown, including a curfew. Meanwhile, in New York City:

Mayor Bill DeBolshevik is instituting a Vax Passport system that includes not just “proof” of one’s vax but presenting a government-issued, photo id.

“And it’s easy, all you have to do is show proof of vaccination — that could be a CDC paper card, that could be an Excelsior Pass, an NYC COVID Safe app, whatever works,” de Blasio said in an announcement. “All you got to do is show that proof and have ID as well, and it’s straightforward.”

Certainly, it’s easy and straight forward to cough up (heh) a photo id in order to get your half-fat latte and a cronut before work, but … but … but … a photo id to VOTE? Perish the thought at those neo-Jim Crow requirements!!

Looks like NYC businesses are eager to have only the star-bellied Sneetches as customers.

To play our part in helping to protect everyone as we return, we will require proof of a complete FDA (Food and Drug Administration) or WHO (World Health Organization) authorized vaccination for access into the facility, and theaters, for everyone – all staff, artists, and audiences. Proof along with a government-issued photo I.D., such as a driver’s license, passport, or IDNYC, will also be required.

A complete vaccination means having received a final FDA or WHO vaccination dose 14 days before the performance date. (snip) There will be no vaccination exemption for anyone attending a performance in Joe’s Pub.

Isn’t that precious? Not one word about people with immunity post-covid infection.

Because immunity isn’t the priority here. Power is. As someone once said, “The issue is never the issue, the issue is always the Revolution.”

The covid is no longer pandemic but endemic. It is a virus that acts like all other viruses — it spreads and mutates. Will we actually need boosters? That should be up to each individual to assess for themselves.
