Bob Costas Bravely Applauds IOC Transgender Ban In Olympics

Bob Costas is super brave. Now that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has issued their ban on transgenders competing in Olympic sports, he’s now on record in agreement.

As was reported just a couple of days ago, the IOC issued their ruling on whether transgenders should be allowed to compete in the Olympics.

Transgender women athletes are now excluded from the Olympics after the IOC agreed to a new eligibility policy on Thursday which aligns with U.S. President Donald Trump’s executive order on women’s sports ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Games.

“Eligibility for any female category event at the Olympic Games or any other IOC event, including individual and team sports, is now limited to biological females,” the International Olympic Committee said, “determined on the basis of a one‑time SRY gene screening.”

There has obviously been a great deal of reaction to this ruling, a ruling that I applaud. But when I saw that Bob Costas decided to opine on the ruling and agree that it makes sense, the hypocrisy meter pegged into the red for me.

As noted in a report from The Associated Press, it’s unknown how many athletes the new policy will affect. The first — and most recent — openly transgender athlete to compete was New Zealand weightlifter Laurel Hubbard at the Tokyo games in 2021.

During a sit-down interview with CNN’s Elex Michaelson, Costas applauded the IOC’s decision.

“Give me enough time to address this so I’m not misunderstood,” Costas began. “There are people who use this issue cynically for political purposes and they’re demonizing people who happen to be trans, who should be treated with respect and dignity and understanding; however, common sense is not transphobic. There’s a reason why the high school champions don’t compete with the college champions. There is a reason why no trans man, who was once a woman, and has become a man has ever competed successfully with men in the Olympics.”

Let’s stop right there and read that last paragraph again. Costas is talking about WOMEN transing to men and trying to compete in the Olympics, or any other sport. He knows damned well that the issue has been MEN transing to women and shoving their way into women’s sports!

Needless to say, as I mention above, the reaction is mixed.

It’s always interesting to see the left proclaim something is hate speech when they disagree with it. That said, this move by the IOC is not only common sense, it’s safer for the women competing.

But again, where has Bob been these last few years? Pretty darned silent. Now that the narrative has acknowledged reality, Bob can bravely join in.

At least he did acknowledge that men playing in women’s sports is BS.

Costas then brought up Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark to explain why he’s in favor of this new policy for the Olympics.

“If Caitlin Clark could play in the NBA, everybody would applaud it,” Costas continued. “That would be an incredible thing. But if the last guy on the bench of an NBA team went to the WNBA and started averaging 40 points, everybody would know that is BS.”

If he knows it’s BS, then where the hell was he over these last few years?? Where was he when a male boxer was beating up female boxers in the Olympics??!!

And Bob Costas stayed radio silent then.

But now, he bravely steps up. Everyone please clap.

Sarah Jane Winfoot: “up and coming champions and record breakers who have worked to perfect their craft should now be excluded from the highest level of competition.”

When i was a young lad I was a mediocre athlete compared to my male peers, but when I, occasionally, joined in women’s competition, e.g. field hockey, to make up the numbers I was a regular champion. I was stronger, faster, fitter. I also had to be careful I didn’t harm any of the women as I charged around the playing field.

Any man who seeks to compete against women except in fun events is no champion.

Sara Jane dimwit is a perfect example of an AWFL, willing to cut her own ( and other womens) throats to prove how virtuous she is… what an idiot.. Costas is just an opportunist fool, as is the idiot that wrote the quoted article.. the IOC did NOT ban ” trans” women from competing… let me repeat that for ” a reader” and the other slow ones that might read it.. THE IOC DID NOT BAN “TRANS” WOMEN FROM COMPETING! they just very correctly stated that these mentally ill MEN must compete as MEN ( assuming they could actually qualify in that catagory) all they did was prevent them from cheating by competing against ACTUAL women…
Until leftist fools stop celebrating these mentally ill individuals, and start getting them the psychological treatment they need and deserve, this insanity will not go away..

    “Trans rights are women’s rights.”

Wrong. Trans rights are men’s rights that negate women’s rights.
