Wethersfield, Ct, has a problem with law enforcement. Or rather, the Democrats on the city council have issues when it comes to dead ones and blue lines. Malice or stupidity?

Maybe some heaping piles of both.

WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (TND) — A town council in Connecticut voted against a motion Monday to fly the Thin Blue Line flag in honor of a state trooper who was killed on duty.

Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier was killed by a drunk driver who plowed into him as he was at a traffic stop with another driver. The perp drove away from the scene but was later tracked down.

Gov. Ned Lamont did one of the usual gestures taken in such circumstances. He ordered national and state flags at state facilities to be lowered to half-mast. The town council of Wethersfield took a left turn at the intersection of Passive & Aggressive when it was suggested that they fly The Thin Blue Line Flag in Pelletier’s honor.

“That flag was either created or at least became prevalent in direct response to the Black Lives Matter protests,” Democratic Councilmember Emily Zambrello said. “It’s viewed as antagonistic even if you don’t see it that way and I don’t think that’s a good flag to fly, especially not without further discussion.”

Oh, no! Say it ain’t so! A flag created long before the sham BLM movement — and following decades of the use of the phrase “thin blue line” in regards to LEOs — is now the usual Woke claim as a symbol of racism/hate/white supremacy.

Let’s give Emily a benefit of the doubt here that she believes all history started in 2020 and feels that the town should be less controversial in their honoring of Pelletier. Blue lines are just TOO triggering. So why not just lower the national and state flags of their town to half-mast. Easy-peasy, right?

Aaron Pelletier leaves behind a widow (IOW, a woman) and two sons (omg, Aaron was a breeder!) and lowering the “Pride” Flag is what these Democrats feel is appropriate?

On what flippin’ planet?

If nothing else, the “Pride” flag is a sexual-ideological flag and I doubt Pelletier’s family was even consulted about such an “honor.”

Can you say FUBAR? Bet you can.
