Joe Biden’s normal, functioning work hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but last night Joey Baby worked overtime. At 7:45 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, they rolled out twin teleprompters so that Joe could tell us all about the Supreme Court’s latest mistake. Because, you know, any decision that isn’t exactly what the ruling cabal wants must be a democracy killer. Joe used the bully pulpit of the White House to drag both the Supreme Court and the congenitally evil (boo, hiss) Donald Trump. Joe is sorely disappointed in the Supreme Court for keeping immunity the way it has always been and not limiting the power of the Presidency for Donald Trump. Joe, among other things, is an A-1, First Class Hypocrite. If Joe was pale last Thursday, he was beet red last night.
Before we discuss anything, you have to train your peepers on this White House video:
Joe began, “Good Evening. The Presidency is the most powerful office in the world.” That is except for whoever controls Joe. Joe said the office would test your character. That is, unless you have no character, like Joe. He told us that those in the office must have the wisdom to respect the limits of the Presidency.
Joe, with the stroke of a pen has forgiven an impressive $167 billion in loans for approximately 4.75 million borrowers.
The Supreme Court has slapped away Joe’s hand for paying off student loans, although today an Appeals Court did let part of this scheme go forward.
The Olympian hypocrisy of Biden shows in lines like this from tonight:
“There are no kings in America. Each, each of us is equal before the law. No one, no one is above the law, not even the president of the United States,” Biden said in a speech from the White House.
“(With) today’s Supreme Court decision on presidential immunity, that fundamentally changed. For all practical purposes, there are virtually no limits on what the president can do. It’s a fundamentally new principle and it’s a dangerous precedent because the power of the office will no longer be constrained by the law even including the supreme court of the United States.”
Joe is not constrained by any fakakta Supreme Court. Joe’s got votes to buy. And, he brags about defying SCOTUS.

According to Brett Tolman, a super great legal mind, this ruling today essentially changed nothing:

Joe beat the heck out of January 6 last night saying that “the people” need to know what happened. From NBC News:
“The American people deserve to have an answer in the courts before the upcoming election,” Biden said. “The public has a right to know the answer about what happened on Jan. 6 before they are asked to vote again this year.”
Biden framed the lack of a trial as a shift from the courts to the voting booth.
“The American people must decide whether Donald Trump’s assault on our democracy on Jan. 6th makes him unfit for public office in the highest office in the land. The American people must decide if Trump’s embrace of violence to preserve his power is acceptable,” Biden said.
“Perhaps most importantly, the American people must decide if they want to entrust … the presidency to Donald Trump now knowing he’ll be more emboldened to do whatever he pleases,” Biden added.
Not only did Trump tell the people gathered on The Ellipse to “peacefully and patriotically” protest on January 6. When things went pear-shaped and the Fedsurrection began, he sent out this tweet:

Joe Biden wrapped up his, under five minute, talk with Sonia Sotomayor’s dissent:

The Hill quoted Kayleigh McEnany on Sotomayor’s dissent:
Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany blasted Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor for writing in a dissenting opinion that the court’s decision to grant former President Trump immunity for official acts “completely insulate[s] presidents from criminal liability.”
“The Sotomayor dissent I think can be described as apoplectic, hyperbolic,” McEnany, who served as White House press secretary under Trump, said before reading from Sotomayor’s opinion.
“When he uses his official powers in any way, under the majority’s reasoning, he now will be insulated from criminal prosecution,” Sotomayor wrote in the dissenting opinion, which was joined by fellow liberal Justices Ketanji Brown Jackson and Elena Kagan.
“Orders the Navy’s Seal Team 6 to assassinate a political rival? Immune. … Organizes a military coup to hold onto power? Immune. Takes a bribe in exchange for a pardon? Immune. Immune, immune, immune,” she wrote.
McEnany pushed back on such hypotheticals.“The only problem with that is we have checks and balances in the form of Congress’s checks on the executive all throughout the Constitution,” McEnany said.
Sotomayor is functionally illiterate. But, she’s Joe’s favorite Supreme Court Justice. After delivering his short remarks from on high to a few selected members of the Democrat Media Industrial Complex, our Imperial President turned and shuffled away. It’s pudding time and a man can only handle so much overtime.

(Can you imagine the conversation? “But I don’t wanna wear spray paint! I thought orange was a bad color? If you’re going to spray there, why not everywhere? Let me take my pants off….”)

Wow. It’s not new. And the whole point of the decision was that it IS constrained by the Constitution and the Law.
And there you go right off into the “college loans” debacle….
