Joe Biden and his handlers definitely don’t give a damn about national or world security. Case in point? Eleven Yemeni terrorists, some of whom are directly tied to Osama Bin Laden, have been set free from Guantanamo Bay.
The New York Times headline is astoundingly tone deaf.
U.S. Sends 11 Guantánamo Prisoners to Oman to Start New Lives
Please clap! And, in fact, some are cheering this move that is giving 11 Yemeni terrorists a brand spanking new lease on life.
The news we've been awaiting for the last 20 months! The 11 Yemenis at #Guantanamo who have long been approved for release have been resettled in Oman! Just 15 men are still held at the prison, inc 3 also approved for release, 3 "forever prisoners" & 9 in the military commissions https://t.co/lWn3x4YWli

Isn’t that just so special??!! No, no it isn’t. It makes me sick. I can’t imagine with the 9/11 families are feeling right now.
First we have the botched mess around whether the death penalty stays on the table or not, with Austin trying to clean up on Aisle Gitmo once they realized how bad the optics were. And now, in a sneak move that was supposedly halted back in 2023, Joe and his handlers release 11 terrorists back to Oman.
Who are these terrorists? Let’s take a look shall we?
Moath Hamza Ahmed al-Alwi, an alleged al Qaeda fighter and bodyguard for Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan, was one of the 11 men released.
An unclassified 2016 US intelligence file on al-Alwi warns that as a GITMO detainee, he “has made several statements since early 2016 that suggest he maintains an extremist mindset.”
The file also notes that al-Alwi has committed a number of disciplinary infractions while in detention that were “pardoned” as part of an “incentive for detainees to improve their conduct.”
Suhayl Abdul Anam al Sharabi, another alleged bin Laden bodyguard, was also released.
Al Sharabi’s 2020 intelligence file notes that he “may have been associated with an aborted 9/11-style hijacking plot in Southwest Asia” as a member of al Qaeda.
What’s always ticked me off is that these terrorists were treated as if they were just ordinary run of the mill criminals, instead of as war criminals. I mean seriously, ‘here’s a little freebie for you if you promise to act nice,’ WTF??!! It’s a total failure of our intelligence community as well as our government as a whole that NONE of the GITMO terrorists were tried as war criminals.
And now 11 Yemeni terrorists have been sent back to Oman where the thinking is that they’ll just start nice new happy little NON-terrorist lives.
According to the New York Times, these terrorists are just eager to get out into the world, get cell phones and laptops, find wives and settle down to contribute to society. With U.S. taxpayer help of course:
All of the prisoners were cleared for transfer through federal national-security review panels.
U.S. officials declined to say what the United States gave Oman, one of the most stable U.S. allies in the Middle East, and what guarantees it received in exchange. By law, the military cannot send Guantánamo prisoners to Yemen because, as a nation caught up in a brutal civil war, it is considered too unstable to monitor and rehabilitate returnees.
The United States has typically paid host countries stipends for housing, education, rehabilitation and to monitor the activities of the men. The United States has also asked receiving countries to prevent the former Guantánamo detainees from traveling abroad for at least two years.
Indeed, we not only have been funding their prison time at Gitmo, we are funding their new lives in Oman.
Does ANYONE truly believe that they won’t use the internet to “travel abroad” to reengage with their old terrorist networks or find new ones to join with? Some of those whom Obama freed did so.
JUST IN: Joe Biden has released 11 Yemeni t*rrorists from Guantánamo Bay who were captured in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.

He’s trying to cause as much damage as possible on his way out. pic.twitter.com/aynURQRIiJ
Yes he and everyone around him are definitely trying to burn it all down.
Pardon Hunter? Check
Try for a permanent ban on oil and gas drilling? Check
Ban gas stoves and water heaters? Check
Give George Soros and Liz Cheney awards? Check
Throw more money, weapons, and military hardware at Ukraine with nothing to show for it? Check
Free 9/11 terrorists? Check
This is an infuriating slap in the face to the 9/11 families and every American. But as we saw with Afghanistan, Joe ‘checks watch’ Biden doesn’t give a damn.
We have twelve more days of this. January 20th can’t get here fast enough.

Well, you can’t keep them forever as POWs. This is the problem with our Progressive ROE – it sets people up to be treated nicely and then sent home. If we treated them like pirates, we could have hung them as soon as their intelligence value was over and we wouldn’t have this problem. And we’ll never use “parole” as intended when it comes to soldiers – if they violated it they would instantly become outlaws/pirates and subject to summary execution.
If we had treated all the terrorists as “unlawful combatants” right from the beginning, we wouldn’t have these 11, or any plea bargains with those others. Just run the intel op, then hang them by the neck until dead. Then you’ve got room for more unlawful combatants.
Spot on GWB.. 6 months at the outside before we’ve lost track of all of them, and they’re all back to jihad..
I like the pirate analogy, a much better way to deal with this than treating them as regular criminals.. This is what happens when you try to “play nice” (you’d think we’d have learned by now).. the idiots and the America haters then pretend that what you’ve done to “be nice’ is what you were required to do, and they start holding you to that standard. It’s an endless spiral that only gets worse until you break out of it.
And, partly, it’s making the process the principle. Which never works out well.
Also, all they should get from us (assuming they live and are repatriated) is a clean pair of jeans, 2 pairs of clean socks, a new pair of deck shoes, a fresh towel for their head, and a t-shirt that says “I went to Guantanamo Bay and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.” And that should be made in China (by Uighurs).
Parole them to a leaky boat in the middle of the ocean.
I would like to say I have a good, legal solution, but I don’t. Those Yemeni terrorists are not lawful combatants, but I don’t know where our laws allow us to simply execute them without a trial.
ideally, it would be nice to put a bunch of soldiers who actually fought these terrorists on a jury to decide the fate of such unlawful combatants. That would no doubt take care of the problem, but I don’t think our laws allow for such a thing. However, if our laws did allow for such a thing, I seriously doubt such a jury would give terrorists a second chance to kill anyone.
