The Nobel Peace Prize this year honors Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo, who is imprisoned for seeking democratic reforms in his country. Lui was barred by the Chinese government from attending the ceremony but was represented in Oslo by an empty chair.
Last year’s recipient, Barack Obama, released a statement honoring Lui which began:
“One year ago, I was humbled to receive the Nobel Peace Prize — an award that speaks to our highest aspirations, and that has been claimed by giants of history and courageous advocates who have sacrificed for freedom and justice, like me.”
Ok. I added the words “like me” because you know that’s what he meant.
The community organizer/agitator is at it again. You find this type of self-aggrandizing behavior in urban ghettos across the country. Nothing new here.
“But enough about me, let’s talk about you… what do you think about me?”
Hey Swartee you from New Orleans by any chance? I knew some Swartee’s there a long time ago.
Well, that makes two years in a row the award was presented to an empty chair.
Recent winners O!Bummer, Gore, Carter have only helped deligitimize the Nobel. Next year they’ll be putting ’em in boxes of Frosted Flakes.
Sad. You people can’t give the President credit for even be gracious. Mockery is very unattractive.
Obama no longer deserves the Nobel. All he’s been is a liar and deceiver and it’s taken us two years of trying to polish this pig to actually realize that we’ve been duped.
“You people can’t give the President credit for even be gracious.”
As soon as he is gracious, we will give him credit.
What did he get the Nobel Peace prize for again? Anyone?
