There’s a Democrat Representative from Tucson, Arizona who REALLY wants attention. So much so that Adelita Grijalva is claiming that ICE agents pepper-sprayed her.
For background, Adelita was gifted her father’s Congressional seat after his untimely passing. Then, due to the government shutdown, she ran to the cameras to whine about not getting sworn in and not getting paid or something.
Well, now that she’s an actual sworn Congress critter, let the dramatic flag fly!
ICE was conducting operations in Tuscon when Adelita and pals showed up to protest.
ICE conducted raids at multiple restaurants across Tucson early Friday morning. The raids ended with multiple people in custody, according to a public statement made by an ICE spokesperson.
The thing is, Adelita and her crew weren’t just standing across the street waving signs and shrieking through bullhorns at the ICE agents. Nope, they were actively GETTING IN THEIR WAY. Her own video shows that.
What I’m seeing is an Officer giving you a lawful order and you not complying while continuing to impede them. You actually should have been arrested but I’m sure they didn’t want to add to your staged photo op.

While the news video only shows Adelita’s speechifying.
You know, for someone who was supposedly pepper-sprayed by ICE, her outfit along with hair and makeup is remarkably intact.
You see, when one gets pepper-sprayed (as law enforcement officers have described to me), there is a reaction that usually involves reddened face, eyes streaming with tears, and messed up clothing. This is not the case with Adelita.
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin swiftly fired back at Grijalva’s claims, saying she was never directly sprayed but merely in the “vicinity of someone who was.”
“If her claims were true, this would be a medical marvel,” McLaughlin said. “But they’re not true. She wasn’t pepper sprayed. She was in the vicinity of someone who was pepper sprayed as they were obstructing and assaulting law enforcement.”
Not only that, but it was ICE agents who were injured during the protest. In fact, if you watch Adelita’s video closely, the only one getting physical with her is one of her aides. The ICE agent you see never even got close enough to touch her.
Furthermore, Adelita and others are claiming that she just presented herself to ICE and demanded information and was pepper-sprayed in response.
“We saw people directly sprayed, members of our press, everybody that was with me, my staff member, myself, two staff members, we have like remnants of whatever they sprayed on us. Excuse me, it’s bothering me,” Grijalva said. “And I think that this is one of the problems, the biggest problem that we have in this community is that we have Trump that has no regard for any due process, the rule of law, the Constitution. They’re literally disappearing people from the streets. They arrested two people. We have no idea where they’re going. And I want to thank Tucson Police Department for coming and taking care of the space, making sure that everyone was safe once ICE left.”
This is similar to what NYC Comptroller Brad Lander and others such as Senator Alex Padilla have done in recent months. Actively impede law enforcement operations while trying to save illegal aliens from arrest and deportation.
Screaming at and getting in law enforcement officers faces is the new way of “presenting” oneself in order to get the answers you are supposedly seeking.
This is the Democrat way these days.
This is unacceptable. Rep. Grijalva was just doing her job looking out for her community, and she got pepper sprayed for it. I know she won't let it stop her from fighting for her constituents. https://t.co/DbbxXf1dGU

Mark Kelly really should sit this one out given his OWN issues of stepping on and leaning WAY over the line promoting insurrection and sedition within our military.
If Adelita wants answers, all she has to do is pick up the phone. But that’s not dramatic enough for her.
Screaming at federal law enforcement officers and then whining about supposedly getting pepper-sprayed is. Filming yourself breaking the law is.
In fact, 8 U.S. Code § 1324 condemns anyone who “knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation.”
Even more relevant is 18 U.S. Code § 111, which penalizes one who “forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates, or interferes with any person designated in section 1114 of this title while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties,” including immigration enforcement. The mob that included Grijalva violated this law.
Isn’t it miraculous that she had zero side effects from being in the vicinity of that awful stuff?
I will say that she needs to work on her acting skills in order to seem more credible. Do they have acting classes for Democrat politicians?

Illegal aliens aren’t constituents.
