Ayatollah Khamenei’s Son Frontrunner To Succeed As Supreme Leader

Days after Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was reported dead (the joy) comes this news: his 56 year-old son, Mojtaba Khamenei is the “frontrunner” to replace him.

The officials said that the clerics were considering announcing that the son, Mojtaba Khamenei, would be his father’s successor as early as Wednesday morning but that some had expressed reservations, fearing that it could expose him as a target for the United States and Israel. They spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive internal deliberations.”-Farnaz Fassihi, The New York Times

It could expose him? You think? A few days back, it was believed Mojtaba Khamenei was killed in the same attack that took out the guy with the fluffy white beard and the winsome grin (Thanks for that, WaPo). But now, it is believed Mojyaba is very much alive.

Installing the younger Khamenei in what was once his father’s role could anger Iranians who took to the streets in economic protests that morphed into a referendum on the regime earlier this year.

But selecting Mr. Khamenei would send a message, according to some analysts, that hard-liners tied to the Revolutionary Guards remain in charge, suggesting little would soon change.”Ephrat Livni, The New York Times

It’s really bad when your options for “Supreme Leader” go from bad to worse. In all honesty, how, exactly, does Iran think this is going to work out for them?

Something tells us that he should not accept this position:

Mojtaba is the wisest pick right now because he is intimately familiar with running and coordinating security and military apparatuses. He was in charge of this already.

A portion of the public will react negatively and forcefully to this decision, and it will have a backlash.”-Mehdi Rahmati, Analyst in Tehran

A portion will react negatively? The wisest pick?

Yep, bring on more corruption for Iran, because this is exactly what the Iranian people want and need (sarcasm).

Mojtaba Khamenei, widely seen as a potential successor to his father, is alleged to own several properties through shell companies. Despite projecting a life of simplicity, he is accused of having interests ranging from Persian Gulf shipping operations to opulent real estate across Europe. People familiar with the matter, who requested anonymity, said a complex web of firms has enabled the channelling of funds—estimated by some to run into billions of dollars—into Western markets, despite US sanctions imposed on him in 2019.”-Surarika Das, MSN

The “favorite son” was rumored to be treated for impotency during his money-laundering trips to London. All while his country was sanctioned for buying medicine. Such is the hypocrisy of a country that has rulers and dictators, like Iran, but don’t tell that one to the left-coast liberals. They’ll say, “he never filled an office in an official capacity”. The “favorite son”, the golden child of Ayatollah Ali Khammenei, was indeed a gatekeeper of sorts. He worked behind-the-scenes with the commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force and the Basij, a religious militia affiliated with the Guards, “to advance his father’s destabilising regional ambitions and oppressive domestic objectives”. They won’t say the name of Mahsa Amina, a woman who was beaten to death by Iran’s “Moral Security” after being caught sans hijab. Her death, “sudden heart failure”, has the fingerprints of Ayatollah Senior and Junior all over it.

There were at least 500 of these women who died in protest of the hijab at the hands of Iran’s “Morality Police”, of which Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei was a silent partner. But, purple-haired, septum-pierced American liberal women will argue to the contrary because they are “morally superior”. Teenage girls taken off the streets to “education centers”, raped and beaten to death. But they can’t stand the Orange Guy who bombed the ever-loving sh*t outta them.

Again, here’s to hoping. Here’s to hoping for some “sudden heart failure” for this guy, whom the journos at WaPo will dub as the “man with quiet strength and a cool goatee”, in his eulogy. Here’s also to hoping Trump finishes the job. If the elusive Mojtaba Khameinei is indeed still alive somewhere, that is.

Cancel all insurance policies on late Supreme Leader’s “Favorite Son”. Hand deliver cancellation notices. Do not use iPhone, Pager or other electronic devices since we must ensure that cancellation notices delivered before and unfortunate events which could trigger payments.

Word is that the meeting to declare him such was also hit by the IDF.. no word yet on if he survived that strike..

And I wonder if anyone told by him that his 72 virgins were all pigs…
