Ayanna Pressley calls racism on Walgreens. Of course she does because it certainly can’t be the policies of her Democratic socialist party, right?
It’s like the wild wild west across the United States since the summer of love 2020 and the George Floyd BLM militia started attacking America’s retailers.
But Walgreens closing its stores is racism. Let’s not look at the crime in the areas where these Walgreens are located.
The Walgreens that Pressley had been referring to was the fourth one in Boston to close in a little over a year, according to Boston25 News.
In order to help ease the transition, Walgreens said they would automatically transfer patient files and prescriptions to a Walgreens one mile away.
The company said changing factors including the dynamics of the local market and a change in buying habits are factors taken into account when closing a branch. – Daily Mail
…..local market and a change in buying habits….. I’d say so. Now you can just walk in and take it without paying for it and without consequence. I guess Ayanna just wants Walgreens to give it away. That is how socialism works, right? Sort of.
Or maybe it is reparations that the people seek. This isn’t the first time we’ve written about reparations; it likely won’t be the last.
Another Walgreens closes in Boston. Until black communities stop seeing stores as endless sources of ‘reparations’, stores will keep disappearing from their neighbourhoods. pic.twitter.com/GpI30fytma

Instead of calling Walgreens a bunch of racists, why don’t you talk to your own people, Ayanna? How about looking at the policies that you love so much and changing those?
But this is the playbook of the left, isn’t it? Force socialist policies upon the people and then cry racism when people and businesses close up shop and leave.
Why was there no community input? Do you mean the community that robbed the retailer blind, day after day? That community? And she pretty much comes out with the give-it-to-them-for-free schpeel talking about how Walgreens is a multi-billion dollar company, and they need to put their money where their mouth is and stop depriving the black community. Give the people their reparations!
It’s not like Walgreens didn’t try to stay. They locked shelves behind glass and put chains on the cooler doors. Obviously, these preventive measures did not work in the long run. It’s strictly a business decision, Ayanna, and a smart one. Get out of where people are robbing your stores.
Ayanna Pressley proudly aligns herself with Dr. Julianne Malveaux, an economist, and activist who strongly believes in reparations and the bill H.R. 40 introduced to the House early in 2023, which is the Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act.
I wonder if they’ll ask the CEOs of the retailers who are forced to close their doors to come sit in on the meetings. My guess is no, but they will probably drag them into hearings to grill them, point fingers, and accuse them of racism for the cameras.

She (and the rest of the ‘Squad’) is a racist idiot. Sadly, we ignore these fools at our peril.
Agreed.. anyone who pushes reparations at this point is also a mouth breathing moron..
Agreed, too: These playing the race card are the real racists !!
In an ideal world, the CEO’s only answer would be videos of the constant looting at the various stores followed by them walking out of the hearing.
The majority of voters in her district believe that all of their problems are someone else’s fault; none of their problems are their fault. Rep. Pressley knows exactly how take advantage of that culture.
Change the culture if you want better elected officials.
And ONE MORE TIME, the collectivist/statist/totalitarian/authoritarians expect someone ELSE to take care of them, instead of doing it for themselves. Tired of “having your communities marginalized”? Put your hand into your own wallet for once and buy the property, and then try to run a “People’s Pharmacy” without using other people’s money.
Between their managerial incompetence and something-for-nothing policies, exactly how long would such a place last? A day? Maybe two?
Yeah, I thought that collectivist grandstanding is all that idiots like Ayanna Pressley are good for. Actual productive work is left for us citizen/slaves.
Maybe everybody is just tired of black’s stealing…you racist bald head. Yep, I said it. Just like she says it.
