It’s been a tough week for liberals and Democrats, and now even state media news anchors are feeling the heat from the MAGA mandate. The latest victim of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is NBC’s Chuck Todd. News anchors who once pushed a narrative of deceit and misled the American public are now facing the backlash.
There have been plenty of instances when left-leaning media has been accused of pushing stories without getting all the facts. They rushed to report on things like the Russia collusion narrative, Jussie Smollett’s fake hate crime, and the Covington Catholic incident, only to find out the whole truth later. They’ve also been criticized for handling the Kavanaugh hearings and the Hunter Biden laptop story with anything but the full-on truth.
While the big names of liberal media seem to be fading away, don’t worry—there are plenty of other slanted versions stepping in. Take Kate Bolduan, for example, a déjà vu in remix when she can’t believe Donald Trump’s popularity.
Whew-boy, that high-pitched screech!
Just throw Donald Trump’s name into the mix, and it sends the elite media into a full-blown meltdown. But if his name isn’t even in the story, you can bet state media will find a way to slip it in, anyway.
The news of three big names from left-leaning media facing failures or fumbles is a win. We’ve got Nora O’Donnell, Jim Acosta, and Chuck Todd, all of whom stumbled due to unsatisfactory performances—Acosta citing “programming conflicts,” Todd expressing frustration with national media, and O’Donnell possibly leaving over a salary cut.
They’ve been caught and exposed for pushing their political agenda and ideals rather than reporting factual news.
Why?
Because they were standard-issue Democrats in disguise, their fall from grace is something to cheer as Trump begins his second term.
Yet the vast majority of TV news continues to tilt so far left that three evictions must be just the first step if there is to be meaningful change.
The next step should include the networks imposing something of an informal fairness doctrine on their news programs. – New York Post
These shakeups are a good start, but will the mainstream media ever regain the people’s trust? It’s hard to say, and I remain skeptical. We’ve written about this on the Victory Girls blog, discussing how new media is changing how we get our information.
Watching cable news these days is more of a spectacle than anything else. The focus often seems to be on drama rather than delivering real news. Meanwhile, it quickly became tiresome when late-night shows, once purely for fun, started mixing in political bias and acting like news programs.
We have legacy news media acting like TMZ. And Late Night pretending to report on politics. This is probably why Greg Gutfeld is the new king of late-night.

And with fake news now being sued by Donald Trump himself, let’s not forget old Georgy-Porgy-Stephanopoulos and ABC’s settlement. Looks like the big bosses in the media might be starting to get the message. But again, I’m not exactly counting on pigs to fly waiting for any of the big names to report with actual fairness. I hear Trump Derangement Syndrome is a tough one to shake.
