The House Foreign Affairs Committee issued their report on the chaotic and disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal this morning. It’s a case of willful blindness across the entire Biden Harris Administration.

This 600 page report does verify in greater detail what many of us already knew. The withdrawal did NOT have to happen the way it did. But Joe Biden wanted to be done with Afghanistan, and he along with Kamala made that happen, no matter the consequences.

Yes, she was the last in the room as she stated, so no matter the campaign and media spin, Kamala OWNS this disaster and tragedy just as much as Joe does.

Biden and Harris are and have tried to blame Trump for implementing the DOHA agreement . Except it was well known that the Taliban had broken the agreement multiple times, therefore making it null and void. Thus Joe and Kamala were free to devise their own plan. Except their willful blindness got in the way.

State Department: The U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan was, at the time, one of the largest in the world. Yet all the warning signs were ignored. In fact, they had the arrogance to claim that THEY knew the risks better than the military did. Yes, really.

In one meeting, Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Brian McKeon rejected military officials’ warnings, saying “we at the State Department have a much higher risk tolerance than you guys.”

Gen. Austin Miler, the longest-serving commander in Afghanistan, confirmed McKeon’s comments and explained that the State Department did not have a higher risk tolerance but instead exhibited “a lack of understanding of the risk” in Afghanistan.

Asked why McKeon would make such statements, the officer explained, “The State Department and the president were saying it. Consequently, [Wilson] and others start saying it, thinking that they will make it work.”

The report lays blame on former Afghanistan Ambassador Ross Wilson, who instead of shrinking, grew the embassy’s presence as the security situation deteriorated.

That is the very same Ambassador who failed to put solid evacuation plans in place until the very last minute – August 15!, went on vacation in July 2021, and then ran like a scared rabbit when the situation turned into a massive cluster. And while getting ready to run, tested positive for Covid but ordered staffers to hide those results. Nice guy isn’t he?

The Military: We are supposed to believe that, once Trump left office, he took any and all plans with him regarding a withdrawal from Afghanistan. Thus supposedly leaving Biden and Harris flailing in the wind.  

“Without involving the Afghan government, [Trump] and his Administration negotiated a deal with the Taliban that freed 5,000 Taliban fighters,” the retired military officials wrote in a National Security Leaders for America letter first obtained by Axios.

The group accused Trump of leaving Biden and Harris with no plans to execute a withdrawal and little time to do so.

“This chaotic approach severely hindered the Biden-Harris Administration’s ability to execute the most orderly withdrawal possible and put our service members and our allies at risk,” they wrote.

I’m quite certain that most if not all of those generals had zero input into the original Trump plan. Yet General Milley did and he wasn’t a fan of what Joe wanted to do. Furthermore, as the House Foreign Affairs report makes clear, there WERE plans and Joe Biden willfully ignored them with Kamala’s assent. 

Evacuations: The Biden Harris team are so arrogant that they continue to brag about evacuating 120,000 people from Afghanistan in that chaotic and tragic withdrawal. Except the report makes clear that A. many of those evacuated weren’t vetted and B. Thousands of women and children who SHOULD’VE been evacuated were left behind. 

Abbey Gate: It was well beyond chaotic, it was horrific. 

And as the Taliban whipped groups of desperate Afghans at the airport, burned young women and executed civilians, U.S. troops were forbidden from intervening. 

Consul General Jim DeHart described the scene as “apocalyptic.” 

U.S. intelligence, meanwhile, was tracking multiple threat streams, including “a potential VBIED or suicide vest IED as part of a complex attack,” by Aug. 23.  By Aug. 26, the threat was specifically narrowed down to Abbey Gate. It was so serious that diplomatic security pulled back state employees from the gate.

Intelligence knew of a terror cell not far away. But authorities IGNORED that information. And then the bombs blew. Hundreds dead, as many injured, and thirteen American soldiers were killed. To this day Biden Harris have shown zero remorse while Kamala’s running mate Tim Walz goes AWOL yet again. Yet the decision for this withdrawal rests on their shoulders, no one else’s. 

Results: The Taliban has taken over Afghanistan once again. The Taliban made bank off the abandoned military equipment, and got away with at least $57 million in cash money. ISIS-K is thriving, and just last week seven U.S. soldiers were injured in a battle against ISIS in Iraq.

Women are no longer allowed to speak in public, girls aren’t allowed to go to school and reports show that nearly 120 young girls have been sold as child brides, with nearly as many more families waiting for a buyer. 

These are the consequences of the willful blindness of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
