Meghan McCain idiocy of the day

Meghan McCain idiocy of the day

Meghan McCain is at it again. The latest from the little media darling comes from her Twitter page. I’m blocked from following her (I guess she doesn’t like people who criticize her), but her account is public. And just for fun, I like to check in now and again. Her last three tweets railed against what she called “hardcore conservatives”:

“I’m everthing they are afraid of. Everything they hate. Everything they try to hide. Besides, I speak my mind and show people what’s out

there in reality” – Marilyn Manson

pretty much why hardcore conservatives hate me so much, keep calling me RINO bitches

Meghan, Meghan, Meghan. We call you RINO because you are a RINO. If you don’t like being called that, then maybe you should start being a legitimate member of the Republican Party and stop trying to kiss the asses of the mainstream media, Democrats, and progressives all at the same time.

I know, I know. You’re supposedly a cool, hip, progressive Republican. You love sex! You’re all for gay marriage! We should emulate you and stop being such stuffy, cranky, prudish conservatives and see the light in you, our new leader, Meghan McCain.

Uh, sorry. No thanks. We’ll just stick with being hated by the liberal Obama-ass-kissers in the media for standing by our principles. You keep on bleating to them about how much the GOP sucks and needs to change to be more progressive like you, all so that you can be well-liked. Which road is really the higher one there, Megs?

What Meghan McCain fails to realize is that no one on the Right could care less that she loves sex (trust me Meghan, most of us conservatives love sex, too) or that she supports gay marriage (plenty of other GOPers do, too). It’s the fact that she goes onto The View and The Colbert Report and Larry King Live and bashes the Republican party. She paints this picture of Republicans as old fogeys who are too square to wake up and realize that this is the year 2009. She makes us out to be homophobic prudes who are fearful of anything edgy or cool.

Take her recent statements about her book, and the movie that she apparently thinks should be made out of it.

Meghan McCain hasn’t even released her first book, but she’s already planning the movie version.

“I want Hilary Duff to play me. I think she’s really hot – hotter than me – but I’d still want her to play me,” Sen. John McCain’s daughter confided to us at the Trevor Project’s summer gala on Monday night at Capitale.

But the young Republican isn’t dead set on Duff. “Really, I’d take anyone who’s blond,” she joked, adding that one actor in particular would certainly be welcome to join the cast. “Bradley Cooper is so hot,” McCain swooned. “If he can be in it, he will. I’m obsessed with [his film] ‘The Hangover!'”

The Daily Beast blogger also revealed that Sarah Palin will be coming to life on the big screen. “I just wrote a chapter about her, so she’ll definitely be in it, too,” McCain said. “But I don’t know who would play her.” Guess she’s not a fan of “Saturday Night Live” – or she’d know that Tina Fey is practically synonymous with the Alaskan governor.

The book, due next spring from Hyperion, will examine “what it means to be a progressive Republican in the party today,” according to McCain.

“It’s half political, and it’s half a memoir,” said the 24-year-old. “It’s like ‘Primary Colors’ meets Tori Spelling’s ‘sTori Telling.’ I want young women to actually be able to read it.”

Get that? Young women apparently can’t suffer through other Republican women’s stuffy old political books, I guess because they’re just too boring. We need that celebrity flare! And Republican superstar authors like Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, and Laura Ingraham just can’t attract us young gals, huh? (Meghan better not look at my library… she’d be terrified.)

But as if that weren’t bad enough, she then goes on to make some very idiotic comments about the Secret Service. They were just so, like, overprotective, and, like, none of them were even, like, cute!

“The Obamas are doing very well – their popularity is very high – but I’m just happy it’s nothing my family has to figure out,” she insisted. “I’m so relieved. I did not get along with the Secret Service, so it’s good that I’m not living there. You know those Disney movies [where princesses are always well guarded]? Life in the White House is just like that, except there were no cute guards. Seriously, none of them were cute at all!”

Wow. Maybe if the guards had been cute enough for you, you could’ve shown them firsthand your pro-sex viewpoint, huh? They’re not there to, you know, protect your dad and his family or anything, they’re solely Meghan McCain’s eye candy. And without attractive enough men in the Secret Service, they apparently have no use in her book.

And she wonders why Republicans don’t like her. She continually goes out of her way to say ridiculous things like this, and bash Republicans and conservatives. Democrats and the media love her, but conservatives don’t, and she honestly can’t figure out why? Is she that stupid? (That was a rhetorical question.)

Well, sorry Meghan, but there are more important things in life than being cool or well-liked by the ladies on The View, or making sure the guys in the Secret Service are cute. And I hate to break it to you, but your dad tried to anti-conservative route, and look where it got him. Sure, the media loves you now. But they can and will turn on you faster than you can blink, and all of that selling out will have gotten you nothing. Do you really think idiots like Perez Hilton care about or respect you? If you want to test your newfound friends’ mettle, then just for fun, say you changed your mind on gay marriage. And watch the fur fly.

Meghan McCain is not called a RINO because she likes sex or is for gay marriage or because she has tattoos. It’s because she continually bashes the GOP in order to make herself look better. And for that reason, she’s despised. She can pout about it all she wants, but sometimes the truth hurts, sweetheart. Maybe it’s time for you to wake up to reality, because you’re the one living in a dream, not us.

And now, as a public service, here are the Cliff’s Notes to every column Meggie Mac has ever written, and ever will write:

“I’m a Republican, even though I, like, totally hate everything they stand for. You should, like, totally listen to me because I’m, like. *totally* young & hip & sexy. OMG! I just realized Gossip Girl is on!”

  • smitty says:

The GOP litmus test is whether they care about Federalism.
    Meghan fails epically and often.

  • slamdunk says:

I see her more as simply a media figure as opposed to a person with informed views. It was smart of the left to help create her aura so that she can be a voice that represents what the Dems want the GOP to resemble versus anything that it really does.

  • mj says:

I guess I’ll stop calling her an MTV Republican for a while now. It’s Disney Princess Meghan now. I think it’s less hate directed toward her, she just doesn’t understand that the attitude is more like the annoyance one has with gum stuck to the sole of a new shoe.

Not all conbservatives “love sex” or “gay marriage” Some of us enjoy making love to our spouses (50years) and fidelity and reject the corrupt culture of sexual hedonism as destructive of our humanity. Some of us, are also financially conservatives who believe that big government screws up the economy, and has no business manipulating our daily choices on everything the way liberalism and its elite powermongers do. Some of us stil believe in God and family, responsibility, charity where needed as oppossed to addictive welfare, we believe in a strong defense the constitution as written and amended, life is sacred ( how else do we expect man to behave better than animals, nature is to be respected and used -not worshipped, etc.
Megan NcCain is like her Dad, lacking in most of these beliefs -or at least composed of “flexible convictions.”

  • Hellridr says:

The funny thing about Megan McCain is that after spending so much time during the 2008 campaign being around such a strong and positive female conservative role model like Sarah Palin she still believes conservatives are bunch of stodgy old conformists who are out of date with modern society.

In fact in my opinion I believe it is spoilt little rich girls like Megan who are completely out of touch with the vast majority of GOP voters who tend to be more representative of middle and working class America than the elite trust fund set that she belongs to.

Here’s the thing, most liberals are Democrats because that party embraces liberal ideas more closely than the Republican Party does. And, naturally, vice-versa conservatives and the Republican party.

RINOs, on the other hand (and their counterparts on the other side, Blue Dog Democrats), care more about being in office and being on the right talk shows, etc, than serving their country.

People like this McCain woman keep talking about Republicans needing to “change” to get elected, an idea I find self-defeating and dishonest. I mean, if you have to embrace the ideas of the Democrats to get elected, why not just become a Democrat?

What use can there be in electing a Democrat-in-Republican-clothing if what you want is someone espousing conservative ideals? I submit that such faux-Conservative would be much more destructive of conservative principles than an actual Democrat – Papa McCain would be a good case in point.

Obviously, Senator McCain had many qualities that appealed to Republican voters, to voters in general, his courageous military service was just the most salient example. Imagine, though, in what better position Republicans would be for the next election if he had taken a conservative stance on the bailout?

Better the wilderness than the abyss.

“Progressive Republican” is kind of an oxymoron…
    Mehgan McCain IS a MORON!!!

This twinkie should just join the Democrats and get it over with…

  • oldguy says:

All thats left for her now is to be photographed getting out of a car while not wearing any underware.

  • Pragmatic in Ohio says:

I used to be a Republican, now I am an independent. In 2003 the war cost me my job when the company I was contracting for announced they were cutting back and “hunkering down”, because the war was going to cause an economic down turn. The war’s purpose was to protect us from weapons of mass destruction. But they did not exist.

I am proud that I am an America first believer. Yet in 2005 I watched as dead bodies floated in New Orleans and people pushed shopping carts alone the freeway to escape flood waters all because FEMA was an underfunded and ignored agency. In the mean times, billions went to rebuild Iraq after a war with no one has still explained to me why it was fought in the first place.

In 2006 we got our assed kicked by the voters. But instead of my former party coming together and saying that we are in trouble and need to get our act together, we blamed our favorite scape goats the liberals and liberal media. We tuned into Fox news so we could believe that everything was hucky-dory and we would take back power again in 2008. That did not work out – did it?

I do love your line “And I hate to break it to you, but your dad tried to anti-conservative route, and look where it got him.” Yelp, the voters instead turn to that hard right conservative guy, Barck Obama.

If I am ever again to register Republican, (or even vote Republican) it will be when the party decides it want to wins instead of seeking holy conservative perfection.

I have a news flash for you that throw about the label RINO for anyone that dares thinks it is time to re-think our position on gays and that the Iraq war was a huge waste.

What I care about first is a roof over my families head and food on my families table. Yes, I do not like paying higher taxes, but at least I would have to have an income to worry about taxes. And when I start worry about my how I am going to pay my mortgage , I found I do not give a damn if my neighbors are gay or if they are married.

If it the belief of the GOP that they would rather be ideologically pure rather then in power, then fine. You will soon find the GOP to be as relevant to national politics as the Green party.

If instead, you want to shape our futures, then you need to start hearing the voices of descent in our party and decide what is important (reducing the deficit and protecting homeowner from fraudulent mortgage brokers) from the big noise and emotion but low priority issues like gay marriage.

Awwww. 🙂 There is something incredibly sweet and tender there – something that is as well missing in Meghan McCain’s descriptions of sex and sexuality.

Cassy, you should have linked to the famous studies that show that conservatives actually like sex more (and find it more physically and emotionally satisfying) than do their liberal counterparts. Conservatives either don’t feel the need to talk about it on national television (preferring the marital bedroom or with a priest or pastor) or don’t feel the need to have it until we are married… or both.

Meghan McCain ought to have the sense to know that she will not always remain 24; that time passes quickly; and, before long, she will be one of us – older, quieter, and less desperate for the approval of our avowed enemies.

  • Banjo says:

The McCains belong in some party other than the Republican. He and Teddy were best buds and she seems like some sort of trained seal balancing whatever ball the Democrats toss her. But she’s well on her way to becoming famous for being famous. At least Paris Hilton can sing.

  • RogerCfromSD says:

In the same way Andrew Sullivan is now nothing more than a political Perez Hilton, so too, is Meghan McCain nothing more than a political Paris Hilton.

  • jim says:

The GOP lost former members like Pragmaitc in Ohio when it chose to get in bed with the soc-cons. The majority of the true beliver soc-con worker bees within the soc-con movement are from the charismatic community of American Christianity. If you ever attend a charismatic church you will soon realize that those folks are easily mezmerized by church leadership. They stand when told to stand. They shout when told to shout. They go silent when told to be still. In short, they are naive gullible sheep in need of a leader whom to idolize. There in lies the problem. The so called base of the GOP is now comprised of a good number of folks who put their asperations in leaders who talk the talk rather than in their God given ability to think critically. Hence the GOP gets hammered with the inevitable short comings of man as in the cases of Vitter, the Sanford, and Ensign. Such a phenomenon is a perversion of conservatism which promotes objective analysis rather than subjective emotion and advocates individual reliance rather than lemming like iconic hero worship.

  • Leniese says:

I don’t really like her but my boyfriend and I were talking about how we like her talking about sex so much since we both find her to be really really hot. I remember my boyfriend saying he would have voted for McCain if he fucked his daughter.lol. I honestly don’t know how I feel about Meghan McCain. I want to dislike her but she has the best chest…..my God she’s hot……

But anyways it’s kinda hard to believe conservatives love sex a lot, they seem to be uptight about it sometimes but I wouldn’t know. I’m not a conservative.

  • fire captain says:

    Pragmatic in Ohio,
Reading your standard Liberal talking points, one doubts you were ever a registered Republican. The Iraq war didn`t cause your econcomic downturn. The job market in Ohio has sucked since before I got the hell out in 1982. There were multiple reasons we invaded Iraq… only the poorly informed or liberals think WMDs were the sole cause.

“…dead bodies floated in New Orleans and people pushed shopping carts alone the freeway to escape flood waters all because FEMA was an underfunded…” No sir, the people had to escape flood waters because there was a big hurricane and some levies eroded. New Orleans is largely below sea level but people still wanna live there. Go figure. Google “Katrina” sometime.

“…we blamed our favorite scape goats the liberals and liberal media. We tuned into Fox news so we could believe that everything was hucky-dory…” Too goofy to bother refuting but it is another classic, liberal, ol` saw.

“Yes, I do not like paying higher taxes, but at least I would have to have an income to worry about taxes.” Get off your ass and do some work. Quit being a drone for someone else. I`ve never been without at least one job. Obama`s public works projects won`t benefit you, Ohio, or anything other than Democrat political machinery.

Your talking points did not refute a single point made in Miss Fiano`s blog.

This spoiled, clueless brat arrives on the political scene and starts lecturing those who are far more educated and far more experienced than she is – and when you think about it, who ISN’T far more educated and experienced than she is? Meghan has no idea what she’s talking about – ever – unless she happens to be discussing Hollywood celebrities and/or makeup, and yet it infuriates her when she senses that people aren’t taking her seriously.

One of the many things that makes her so unlikable is her outrageous sense of entitlement. She woke up one day a year or two ago and decided that registering as a Republican for her dad’s Father’s Day present would get her a whole shitload of attention, which it did. Not too long after that, she started lecturing the entire Republican party, specializing in telling people who have spent their entire lives in public service to “go away” for no other reason than they’re older than she’d like them to be. I mean really, in Megs world, if you’re not young and hip, you might as well be put down.

Whenever I see posts that refer to Meghan McCain as “hot” it makes me laugh. She’s not ugly, but only desperate guys would look at her and think “hot.” She takes such pride in her “rack” and in her “big juicy ass” (her words) and every time she talks about it, I feel embarrassed for her.

  • Johann says:

A more mentally vacant giggle-snort airhead I can hardly imagine. Someone should tell her that Republicans do like sex or she would not be here. And tell her that young women having sex is obviously no problem for young women in the STDs, teen pregnancy category. Happens all the time and man do those people enjoy both. And from the “if it feels good, do-it” crew I am sure they would recommend developing a drug habit. A crack whore is obviously a liberated woman! I do believe the Republican nitwits that raised this spoiled know nothing brat did NOT believe in spanking!
