On December 2, 2025, the voters in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District will head to the polls to select a new Representative to replace Mark Green who resigned his seat. Early voting began November 12, The voters will choose from Republican Matt Van Epps or Democrat Aftyn Behn. Miss Behn is hoping that voters will overlook her ugly statements from the past.

The man who resigned, Mark Green (R) was an Army Officer, a doctor and an entrepreneur who has feet of clay. He was extremely talented and will be missed.

The Republican running for the seat is Matt Van Epps. Mr. Van Epps is, like Green, a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. After a decade in active duty service, Lt. Col. Van Epps is now in the Tennessee Army National Guard. From his Matt4TN campaign website, here is his professional accomplishments:

Proven Public Service
Matt served as Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of General Services, leading one of the state’s largest operational agencies. He oversaw statewide procurement, facilities management, and essential services that touch every department in Tennessee government.
This would normally be a Republican +20 district, but without Donald Trump not on the ballot winning is heavy lifting. Remember when

Before his appointment as Commissioner, Matt served for three years in the Tennessee Governor’s Office as Deputy Chief Operating Officer, leading multi-agency initiatives in education, veteran services, and economic development. His business experience includes executive roles driving operational turnarounds and workforce innovation.

Seems like a very nice guy, young and talented. This is normally a plus 20 district. BUT, this year Donald Trump is not on the ballot and Republicans often don’t show up. In the Virginia Attorney General race, for example, Jay Jones handily won despite wishing death on a Republican and his family. Republicans must go vote.

The Democrat Candidate is Aftyn Behn and to my shame I must admit she is from Knoxville originally. She graduated from the Webb School of Knoxville before leaving the area for college. She chose social work as a profession and is a community organizer. Nothing wrong with that but she is being called th
e AOC of Tennessee.
“THE AOC OF TENNESSEE”

Dear God. That is an insult to the entire state. From Slay News:

Failed Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris has faced mockery for returning to the campaign trail to stump on behalf of a radical Democrat candidate in a district that heavily supports President Donald Trump.

For the first time since losing the 2024 election, Harris returned to the campaign trail on Tuesday.

She did so on behalf of one of the most radical Democratic Party candidates in the country.

Harris made a surprise appearance in Nashville to headline a canvassing kickoff for Aftyn Behn, the far-left Tennessee state representative.

Behn has been nicknamed the “AOC of Tennessee” due to her leftist agenda.

The stop came between a visit to Fisk University and a promotional event for Harris’s memoir 107 Days at the Ryman Auditorium.

The AOC of Tennessee, indeed. Nevertheless, the Democrat Party must be seeing signs that Aftyn can win or they wouldn’t send any money or warm bodies to the District. She may win despite her reported anti-Nashville comments. From Whiskey Riff:

The election, which is scheduled for December 2, 2025, is between GOP candidate Matt Van Epps, a veteran and member of the Tennessee National Guard who previously served as the state’s former commissioner of the Tennessee Department of General Services, and Behn, a former community organizer and current representative for Nashville in the Tennessee House of Representatives.

But last week, a resurfaced clip of Behn bashing Nashville went viral on social media.

In the comments from an appearance on the Year Old GRITS podcast on 2020, Behn claimed she “hates” Nashville and country music:

“I hate the city, I hate the bachelorettes, I hate the pedal taverns, I hate country music, I hate all of the things that make Nashville. I hate it.”

It’s not the first time Behn has shown her disdain for the people she wants to represent in Congress. Back in 2019, she wrote an op-ed calling Tennessee a “racist state” and claiming that “racism is in the air we breathe.”

Sounds like a fun person to be around.

Well after her comments on Music City went viral, Behn took to social media to defend herself and claim that she doesn’t REALLY hate Nashville or country music – citing as evidence the fact that she’s cried in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

OMG! She cried in the Country Music Hall of Fame. Doesn’t just sound performative? AND, she was conceived following a George Strait concert. There are so many things wrong with that besides TMI.

Check out his brief video where Aftyn Behn talks about neighbors being kidnapped, the oligarchy and the billionaire boys club. Watch it at least twice:

Aftyn Behn is crazy with the classic Liberal crazy eyes. She says whatever she wants without a care to what she is saying. This includes what she divulges to her own therapist. From the Daily Wire:

Aftyn Behn, the Democratic congressional candidate for Tennessee’s 7th District, once had recurring dreams in which she screamed, “I don’t want children. I want power!”

In an audio clip posted online on Monday, Behn can be heard speaking about her sessions with her therapist and dreams she has had. She connects the dreams back to advice her mother gave her to forgo children in order to focus on a career. It was not immediately clear when the audio clip was recorded.

“My therapist always asks me to transcribe my dreams when they happen, and the recurring dream I’ve had is standing up in a cafeteria full of women – I don’t know why I was there or whatever – and saying, ‘I don’t want children. I want power!’ And just screaming it at the top of my lungs,” Behn can be heard saying.

“For someone who grew up with my mother telling me, never have kids because you will, you know, you’ll have to give up a lot. You’ll have to sacrifice professionally,” she continued.

Behn said that the political field has not “met the challenge of working moms” and added that those women who do choose marriage and a family are in “deeply patriarchal structures.”

Miss Aftyn should have neither children or power. Help us Jesus and protect us from women like this. And AOC while we are at it.
