Two assassination attempts on Donald Trump and the public assassination of Charlie Kirk has only incentivized the Left into clamoring for more. The Atlantic goes a step further sneering that Trump officials forced to flee their homes brought it on themselves.
The threat of left-wing violence against senior members of the Trump administration is so severe that families with young children are being forced to vacate their homes and live on military bases. According to The Atlantic, they had it coming. (snip)
The authors have some thoughts about why, facing a dramatic uptick in threats and assassination attempts by leftists against conservatives, these officials might be uprooting from their family homes. The culprit, they declare, is “the nation’s polarization, to which the Trump administration has itself contributed.”
Yeah, Trump’s fault because Trump!
Remember all the Unity and Brotherhood under Obama? Like when he called for people to bring a gun to a knife fight? To go home at Thanksgiving and get into the face of Republican relatives? How about Maxine Waters call for violence against Republicans during the first Trump administration?
No, no polarization there. Forcing Republicans out of their homes is their own damned fault.
For weeks before Kirk’s death, activists had been protesting the Millers’ presence in north Arlington, Virginia. Someone had put up wanted posters in their neighborhood with their home address, denouncing Stephen as a Nazi who had committed “crimes against humanity.” A group called Arlington Neighbors United for Humanity warned in an Instagram post: “Your efforts to dismantle our democracy and destroy our social safety net will not be tolerated here.”
Pretty unnerving, right? The Millers have three small children and here is a group putting up Wanted Posters and the ubiquitous “Nazi” label. But, wait, the Atlantic wants you to consider …
Stephen Miller has been an architect of Trump’s deportation policy, invoking a centuries-old law to send migrants to a Salvadoran prison and urging immigration-enforcement officers to aggressively find and arrest as many immigrants as possible. He regularly derides Democrats with inflammatory language, calling judicial rulings against the administration a “legal insurrection” and calling the Democratic Party “a domestic extremist organization.”
So Miller, carrying out what the majority of voters wanted when they elected Trump, deserves the threats to his family’s safety cuz, dayum, he’s hurt the feelz of the Left by rejecting their pro-illegal-alien/open border policies.
See, the Left’s political position on everything – from open borders to mutilating kids in the name of transgenderism, is the default position and no dissent is allowed.
Another recent example of the ubiquitous “You disagree with me? YOU SHOULD DIE!” rhetoric from the Left is this gem.
HOLY CRAP

Like Jay Jones, the Democrat VA AG candidate wishing death on his opponent’s children and doubling down on it, McKnight both defends her rhetoric and then mocks Tim Sheehy for publicizing it.
Helena City Commission candidate Haley McKnight said in a voicemail that she hopes married father-of-four Senator @TimSheehyMT becomes infertile, gets pancreatic cancer, and dies.

The Left has normalized not just the advocation of violence against anyone to their right, but now organs like The Atlantic tut tut that conservatives taking these threats seriously are just proving how awful they are for isolating themselves from those threats.
The isolation of living on a military base, at least for civilians, has also created a deeper division between Trump’s advisers and the metropolitan area where they govern. Trump-administration officials, who regularly mock the nation’s capital as a crime-ridden hellscape, now find themselves in a protected bubble, even farther removed from the city’s daily rhythms. And they are even less likely to encounter a diverse mix of voters—in their neighborhoods, on their playgrounds, in their favorite date-night haunts.
How dare you conservatives not stay and enjoy the diversity of people who stand outside your front door every day telling you they want you and your children dead?
This is the virulent, metastasized version of domestic violence. Just do as I say, never disagree, never talk back, and I won’t have to beat you.
