Protecting Christians Possibly With ‘Guns-a-blazing’ In Nigeria

It’s not a popular subject so the lamestream media doesn’t cover it. There are expensive, top hotels, but no economy reporter-type hotels. You will barely read about the slaughter of Christians in Nigeria. It happens a lot there. But, we don’t want to upset the Muslims so we don’t talk about it. Until Donald Trump was re-elected.

The last we heard about Nigerian Christians was when 270 girls were kidnapped out of their dormitories in 2014 by Boko Haram. Michelle Obama had the “Bring Back Our Girls” campaign…sort of. As of today, not all the girls have been found. That’s why President Trump’s Truth Social post and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s response are so important.

According to The Hill:

President Trump on Saturday told the Department of Defense (DOD) to “prepare for possible action” in Nigeria over alleged attacks on Christians in the African country.

“If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

“I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action,” the post continued. “If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians! WARNING: THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT BETTER MOVE FAST!”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth later told Trump, “Yes sir,” in a post on the social platform X.

“The killing of innocent Christians in Nigeria — and anywhere — must end immediately,” Hegseth wrote. “The Department of War is preparing for action. Either the Nigerian Government protects Christians, or we will kill the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.”

The Hill thinks they are being cute calling it the Department of Defense (DOD), don’t they?

If you look at a Muslim sideways, it is Islamophobia. Murder Christians and it’s all good.

By population, Nigeria is the largest country in Africa. Algeria is the largest country by landmass. Nigeria is split almost 50/50 between Christian and Muslim. The Christians do not attack the Muslims. Then there are —

Religiously-motivated attacks have taken place against both Christian and Muslim populations, according to the AP’s reporting. But other attacks have occurred between farmers and herders fighting over dwindling resources.

The AP also cited data from the U.S.-based Armed Conflict Location and Event Data program showing that between January 2020 and this September, 385 attacks that were “targeted events against Christians … where Christian identity of the victim was a reported factor” resulted in 317 deaths. Over the same period, there were 417 deaths recorded among Muslims in 196 attacks.

“There is no systematic, intentional attempt either by the Nigerian government or by any serious group to target a particular religion,” Information Minister Idris Muhammed told the outlet.
