In the past 48 hours, quite a few Conservative Influencers have been swatted with police and outrageous pizza orders. While swatting with police could be deadly, the pizza gambit is also bad/dangerous for all involved. At the same time, California Representative Maxine Waters is loudly proclaiming that she believes President Donald Trump wants to start another Civil War.

Swatting is not like the prank calls that some of us may/not have made as errant youths. You know, call a random number and ask if the refrigerator is running or call a store and ask if they have Prince Albert in a can? Swatting is dangerous, malicious and can be deadly. It is done to strike fear in the hearts of the swatted and get them to shut up or back down.

Maxine Waters has probably never made a prank call or swatted anyone. On the other hand, every time that someone calls on the press and politicos to lower the temperature or rachet down the rhetoric, Maxine rachets it up. Once upon a time, during Trump 1.0, Miss Waters was telling people to get up in the faces of members of the Trump Administration. Just last month, she led a mob of Democrat Representatives to try to intimidate folks at the Department of Education. Maxine gets a free pass for all of her many unfortunate statements because she is a triple threat: She is elderly, at nearly 87, she is Black, and she is a woman. Criticize her at your own peril.

This week, the Democrats had their annual retreat and at the end, the Congressional Black Conference held a press conference. After asserting that Donald Trump really, really wants a new civil war and has threatened it many times, she waffled on and on about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and non-violence. She went the extra mile to indemnify herself against charges that she was calling for violence:

The Independent Journal Review reminded us of this one:

“And so when that happens, what does Trump expect? Oh, I believe he expects violence,” she said. “I believe he expects confrontation. I believe he’s working toward a civil war.”

This is not the first time Waters floated her theory of a possible second civil war. That was reported in many outlets, including The Western Journal.

“I want to know about all of those right-wing organizations that he’s connected with who are training up in the hills somewhere and targeting what communities they’re going to attack,” she said in May.

“Not only are they planning on a civil war if they have to do that, but he’s spelling it out – how and what they’re going to do and how he’s going to get revenge, how he’s going to attack his enemies,” she added.

She’s insane, but never forget that she’s a triple threat.

Coincidentally, while the Democrats were having their annual confab and Maxine was wishcrafting, many Conservative Influencers were being swatted. Bob Hoge at Red State told the story:

The latest to fall victim to this scourge is my personal favorite Trump impersonator and political commentator, Shawn Farash. What he describes happened to him and his wife is anything but funny.

Hey guys, it’s Shawn, my wife Brennan, and I just want to give you guys an update. We did just get swatted, here in Tennessee. The officers said they received a phone call that that somebody murdered somebody in the house and was planning a suicide by cop. So I received a call with that information and we cooperated with police. They were very nice.

They were not aware that this was going on across the country.

Shawn asked his wife Brennan how that felt:

BRENNAN: I was shaking. I was terrified. I was the only one awake. He was asleep. and they were just pointing their guns into the house and I, I… I was very scared.

SHAWN: That’s the point and that’s what these people are trying to do. They’re trying to silence folks who are not afraid to speak their mind online. And you’ve seen it happen to so many other people across the country. We are gonna do what we can from Tennessee to try and get to the bottom of who’s responsible for it.

He also made clear that these threats are not going to stop him from speaking out or continuing to expose Democrats on his popular Twitter account:

This is stupid and dangerous. It won’t lead to civil war, but it will lead to further distance between authorities and citizens and possible vigilantism. I realize that there is not leadership in the Democrat Party anymore, but someone needs to corral the children because they are out of control. Also, ask Granny Maxine to sit down and knit something.
