The Babylon Bee couldn’t make this up if they tried. Yesterday Governor Tony Evers introduced a finance bill that removes the word Father and redefines Mother as an “inseminated person.”
Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers’s office introduced a bill on Friday afternoon that would change the way a Wisconsin state law addresses biological women and men.
According to the bill known as 2025 Senate Bill 45, which was first reported on by conservative radio host Dan O’Donnell, Section 3106 contains numerous examples of terms such as wife, husband, mother, and father being crossed out and removed in favor of terms like spouse, person, and even inseminated person.
I thought it was a joke when I first ran across this on X. But no, it’s very very real. Keep in mind, this is a BUDGET bill for the state. When Evers introduced the budget bill a few days ago, he made ZERO mention of the language changes.
One had to dig into the bill to find this information. Which Dan O’Donnell did, and found this mess 1700 pages into the bill.

Read that again. Forget the word husband or father, he’s now just a spouse. As for mother, that word is erased and replaced with “inseminated person.”
Folks, this is another reason why President Trump is in office for his second term. The Democrats continue to advocate for this lunacy that would erase women across the board. The Democrats continue to push for men to replace women everywhere. We are seeing it in Maine where the Governor has decided biological boys and men should compete in sports even though the President has made it abundantly clear that Title IX is in place for biological females ONLY.
We’ve seen the language erasing women by describing us as “birthing persons” as if we are just little robots who pop out a baby once in a while. And now, in Wisconsin, mothers would now be described as “inseminated person”(s) by law if this bill passes before that crap is yanked out of it.
The cultural battle over gendered language has raged for the last few years with debates over the use of terms like “chestfeeding” instead of “breastfeeding” or “birthing person” instead of “mother.”
On his first day back in the Oval Office, President Donald Trump attacked the issue head-on with an executive order called “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.”
In the order, President Trump makes it official government policy “to recognize two sexes, male and female,” saying they are “not changeable and are grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality.” The order also explicitly states that “’sex’ is not a synonym for and does not include the concept of ‘gender ideology.’”
I’ll be blunt here. MEN CANNOT GIVE BIRTH. A man can declare himself trans and do all the medical and surgical changes that would enable him to look like and somewhat sound like a woman. But one thing will never change, he cannot give birth. Ever.
Yet here we have the Wisconsin legislature with the supposed support of Governor Tony Evers pushing to erase the word mother and insult all mothers by declaring that our only role was as an “inseminated person.”
Being a mother has been one of the greatest joys and challenges of my life. It’s a privilege and a blessing to be a mother.
It is not right that, in the name of some political correctness fairness crap, that one of the most important roles a woman can have is being erased so that a small minority of people can feel included.
Happy Inseminated Person Day! just does NOT have the same ring as Happy Mothers Day!

It is indeed sexist and cruel. Women who give birth are MOTHERS. We aren’t egg producers or anonymous “inseminated persons.”
It will be Wisconsin’s shame if they don’t push for the legislature to yank that insulting language change out of the bill and drop kick it into the trash.
